nice. its got 16 cylinders and they are in a v,if the cranks are fixed together ( i would fix them so they fired in sequence ) work from 1 set of controls, power 1 gear box/drive-train id say it was a modular V16, many engines from the past had/has separate heads and cylinders like a lister cs 2-16 but its still a twin. 6 V8's on a tractorpull dont count,yes some are like this v16 but to join the rest they are coupled with cross boxes/gear box etc

@rollinshake i don't know for a fact but it's two small block Chevys (most likely 350's with 2 bolt mains) with splined input and output shafts. The end of the first crank splined and the front of the second splined with a slip sleeve over them. And the with like a turbo 350 or 400 trans bolted to the second motor. This is prolly an EXTREMELY efficient machine cause if you think about it you only have to turn half the rpms on each motor to get the same power as a single motor. That last part wa

The Chevy 350 is by far the most applicable block ever made. Easy to find parts cause, 50 years of a standard interchangeable format will do that, Easy to work on, and a ton of performance upgrades. That's why you find sbc's in Rods of all makes and models.

298, 305, 327, 383, 400 are all interchangeable. how many blocks can be interchangeable with a 302?

289, 351 Cleveland, 351 Modified and the 351 Windsor... All have parts that can be swapped with a 302, All the 351 blocks and be swapped with each other, The 429/460 can swap parts with each other, 352,390,406,427 and 428 all have parts that can be swapped...

A lot of guys use Chevy 350s even in old fords cause the Chevy 350 design had so few changes over such a long time that you can slap the heads from a 98 Chevy pickup onto the 350 block out of a 75 Nova and it will bolt up to almost any rwd GM tranny. Bottom line, its just easier to find compatible GM parts. Besides, even Ford guys will admit that most Ford motors are junk anyway, other than the 5.0, the old straight 6, and the 7.3 powerstroke. And GM guys admit the Gen 1 Duramax is junk.

@SpecialAndNotDumb That's a good point. The crankshafts are separated so it's 2V8s with an external cam/crankshaft connection. You can clearly see the connection at the end of the video. In total it would have 16 cylinders though :)
