not sure whats not to believe... we can only pack about 110 and we were delivering a full boat to the tender EVERY day. Granted it was the best fishing ive ever seen and every pot was coming over the rail chuck full. Either you are not to saavy on pot cod fishing in the western gulf/ bering sea or u just havent seen real good fishing.

Useless Amercians. Hoods up, froze, lazy, too many on the boat. They wouldnt last a hour on my boat in Nova Scotia.

I fish crab in worse weather and in a smaller boat than those on Deadliest Catch too. And I have 2 in the boat, and that includes me. You have so much time between traps (not pots idiots), that you dont need 5-6 people.

I dont know what Ive ever done to you or your beloved Canada, but unless you have fished in the Gulf of Alaska or Bering Sea, i dont think you really know what you are talking about... @pontiacpar You might be tough, but I garantee that I make about 5 times as much money as you do in a single season. On a good day on the 58 foot cod boat that I work on, we plug the boat with 180,000 pounds...

@Panielpaniel umm we measure them in just straight lbs, but this last season we were catching about 90,000 lbs per day, and that was real good fishing for us. so i suppose that would be 45 tons.
