i actually feel sorry for carabosse.... i mean she's a fairy too but no one treats her like one.... but then she lets her resentment almost kill a princess. huh.
@MlleOdilette did you read the complete message ? wasn't I clear when remarkably point the fact that I loved Him? But for sure that would be my mistake i should underline the feminism of his manners of course thats the way the role has to be played because they are acting like a french court, then i don´t mind if i had not the right of pointing someone TOO GAY when I am GAY myself then i have nothing. AMd if at the end didnt make a point i was talking about the role not the DANCER!
@birbanto24 I don't understand why you are mad at me? I wasn't trying to say you called him gay as bad thing. I was just wondering why english speakers on youtube often use "gay" as an insult :(
LOL at 1:49. great carabosse! i LOVE the choreography for the bats? rats? in my studio's production they're bats but i'm guessing they're rats here. idk. and the lilac fairy is so pale, wow.
@adballet they call it The Christening . the prologue is a short appear of the kings the nurser and the chamberlain while the orchestra plays the oberture
Here, he is in the tradition of the Royal Ballet as demonstrated by two veterans. Mr. Dowell's Carabosse was a genuine star turn: a sensuous faded beauty scorned.
The best variation on this scene that I've seen. I'm auditionion both the part of Carabosse and the good fairy tomorrow and this has helped a lot. Thanks!

@qdancer13 Hahaha! Well, if you show up at parties with an entourage of rats you may not be invited too often. :-)

Fine production. The Sleeping Beauty: a great ballet, or the greatest? I have long adored Peter's majestic score which is, I think, without equal.

the fairy who repelled the witch's spell did an amazingly beautiful job at her part. She is extremely elegant
