Does anyone know if this group recorded the opera? How nice it would be to listen to the whole work with the Purcell score in hand. Music aside, it was interesting viewing this video as an English speaker armed only with high school French. I could catch words here and there at about the same rate in spoken French as in sung English.
Pour ma part, je les trouve vraiment légers.... Le choeur est quasiment inexistant en comparaison de n'importe quel choeur anglais moyen, et la musique est franchement sans brio....
Ce n'est qu'une répétition mais quel bonheur de voir un tel enthousiasme. Je conserve un excellent souvenir de la représentation que j'ai vue l'hiver dernier.
