i see alot of people giving good and bad comments about the ford flex, but everyone's liking is diferent some like this ford flex and others dont.. this car is less boxier then the scion xb and even less boxier than the nissan cube, and true it looks like a range rover some like them some dont. i like this car, im gonna buy one of these next year. i dont like mini vans so the ford flex is perfect for my growing family.
@chabbalato ford owns mazda you know... so it isnt surprising that some of there cars are based on mazda, like that mazda pickup is based on ford ranger design.
@drzipperhead Ford owns shit. They sold off all but 10% of Mazda, when all they had before was 33%. 33% was technically a controlling interest in Japanese law. Ford benefitted the most from that deal. Now they only have 10% in the company, so they can keep leaching the engineering for their "suddenly successful" lineup. The Rangers ONLY in northamerica, from 94 to present are the only Mazda's based on a Ford. WORLD WIDE however, ALL FORD RANGERS ARE MAZDA B-SERIES JAPANESE DESIGNED. Ford needsem
I know the style of this car is a bit controversial, but i for one think this boldly styled crossover is beautiful, inside and out. This is one of the few boxier type vehicles i would deem "cool".
My wife and I had just bought this truck and this is the most comfortable vehicle i have ever been in, this truck is great for 7 person families, it has so much leg room and is very roomy, ive never been in a car where the seats heat up in about 3-minutes, this is the perfect truck for long road trips or for any occasion,
microtaffy. I' am forced to guess that English is you second language (and perhaps second culture too), so I'll be polite..Just one question....What is a TJ? You called me a TJ, and I can't figure it out...Thanks for your help. BTW, didn't Ford sell Land Rover? maybe not....
well scion copy ford in the first place stupid what do you think LAND ROVER IS then ford made the flex so origin it ford and if you love japs so much why don't you live there you t.j.
lots of polished chrome everywhere?...and they wonder why the US car companies are in the shitter??? I own a 2004 Xb, and it doesn't have any known problems. THe "japs" have just made thier standard redesign/refresh cycle 3 or 4 years instead of Ford's 7 years. I mean are any of you Ford-tards gonna try to defend the Ford Focus design schedule? i bet not. and before you start talkin smack about redesign, get your gomers at Ford to stop calling sheet metal swaps (ala 2009 F series) new cars...OMG
I guess I dropped a bit somewhere. You are correct about the 09 F-series. It is a new platform. It also sounds like a pretty good truck, from what I've read.
you are a super idiot, you own a xb and still don't know how shitty it is? either your in denial or really stupid, the xb has like no horsepower, is made real real cheaply, its useless throwaway crap, and you don't know this? whats wrong with you?
I know this about the xb. it has about 50K miles on it and still runs as strong as it did the day Ibought it. I agree it is no rocket, but it gets 30+mpg, handles like a go cart, and almost 4 years after I paid 14K for it, it has a resale of about 9K.Not bad at all. As far as comparing the Xb to flex, I did so for designe element sake, and for the absurd 3:1 price gouge ratio that the Ford Flex is attempting (miserably) to demand for the car/CUV
its sort of ugly, yet styled pretty cool at the same time. I am also impressed how it can get over 20 mpg with that cubic shape. Its a nice car, lots of poilshed chrome everywhere really helps. However there are still many people that would consider this ugly
So, you're comparing the xB to the Flex? Are you serious? Really serious???? Comparing a CUV that has better initial build quality and 201.8" long and 83.2 cubic feet of cargo room to a jap crap piecer (that has major known issues, forcing the re-design) that is 167" long with MUCH LESS volume? You guys are more jaded to jap crap cars than I thought. This is the reason why Ford doesn't care about bringing the good cars to America...you all are too stupid to know a good thing when you see one.
I agree with aztec1. Think about this tho... At the $17K price I paid for the loaded Xb special edition release series 1.0 I own (hot lava orange!), I get about 35 mpg (driving gently). Using the median price of the Flex ($36K) and using Ford published city mileage of 17MPG, I could BUY AND DRIVE 2 of the Scions Xbs for less than the cost of 1 Flex. If comparing a base Xb (14K) to the Flex Limited loaded price ($45K+), the ratio goes to 3:1!!!GET REAL FORD!
lol it looks just like a scion xb go look at the scion then look at this. box on wheelS? scion xb is more than that why do you think ford is copying the box car trend!!! just like everyone else
this has nice curves...and the new XB looks ridiculous...ok they fixed the box problem..but dude did you see the stock rims?..it looks like a fat dude in high heels
lol nice curves? its a friggin BOX! im tellin you its just like the 2004 scion xb. one of these parked next to my 2004 xb and it was like lookin at my car with a magnifying glass!... it looks the same except the sides have those lines i should of taken a picture everyone there agreed that it looked just like my box car =D... but yea i want to get one and put the scion logo on it hehe SCION FLEX!
Sorry Ford's blue 'oval' has been around a lot longer than Infiniti's oval clock... it does not matter though... the clock should have been oval or rectangular...
Has it ever been in the ford cars before? No then its not fords trademark. Its just their badge. I love ford. I work for them, but its not all about what you think.....its about what you know.
Great new presentation of a high interior volume, high utility vehicle which is what many people want and need. The style of a Mini with state of the art power. Full marks!
Doesn't impress me in the least. I agree, too "landroverish". Kinda reminds me of a manufactured home on wheels with an engine. So much for feul economy. Ford needs to realize if they haven't already that soon their flagship high profit SUVs will give way to the smaller, efficient vehicles. But keep throwing money away on motorhomes ford.
By 2010 Ford will be coming out with a ecoboost technology car called the Verve. So really think or look up something before you let you say something irrational.
Ford used to own LR. but, not anymore...but, most vehicles from Ford does look kinda' identical to LR....as far as, the interior trimings...and, minor things on the exteriors.
i see alot of people giving good and bad comments about the ford flex, but everyone's liking is diferent some like this ford flex and others dont.. this car is less boxier then the scion xb and even less boxier than the nissan cube, and true it looks like a range rover some like them some dont. i like this car, im gonna buy one of these next year. i dont like mini vans so the ford flex is perfect for my growing family.
