In ways it is hard to believe that Edison had a role in this. Throughout history YOU read about his accomplishments. Nowhere up untill now have I ever heard of his involvement in this event. It feels like maybe someone didn't want people to know of this...so don't teach it in our schools. Thank GOD for the internet and it's vast educational purposes!

If ya ask me Topsy should have KILLed a few others before put to death. People in this world are so cruel! Not all New York people are, yet there is a great amount who deserve this themselves.

I hope that my son grows up keeping the same values...(which he will, but society tends to make it difficult for everyone) even though I dont know you.. I'm sure you're a-okay. -Poptart

my son (6 years old) is an avid elephant fanatic. This would make him ill..the whole execution. thanks for the memorial. I hope he never learns of this execution... because if he does, and they try teaching him about Edison in school, I know he will flip out. *shudder*

Yeah I know! I'm glad they made a memorial for her. I'm sure she was a great elephant. She was abused, then they killed her in retaliation for her killing three of her trainers! That's humans for ya though; anytime anyone or anything screws with or inconveniences us, it goes (right or wrong).

what else would they do with the elephant? its too dangerous to keep and wouldnt survive in the wild. im pretty sure that electricution was a fast way to go

I would laugh if you son found out about this hilarious elephant death. I've also seen a video of someone hanging an elephant with a crane. good stuff. Your kid sucks for liking elephants.
