pretty much dubstep is one genre it's self, then it goes into sub catagories such as brostep and some people say sludge-step (i've never really much about it just saying). and then everything loops back to it's parent which is dubstep. each subgenre has specific styles that dubstep would use, but they change in variation. i.e. skrillex not only uses the wobble but he uses drop wobbles... i know this has been explained before here, but i just wanted to explain it all at once.
