HA! I still decorate my trees like the one in the Post's house: 60s style. Since my daughter was old enough, I even order that terrible real lead tinsel off e-Bay! The "new" stuff just doesn't drape naturally.

Reminds me of me and my own wife at times, lol. Good thing she and I have seperate credit cards and seperate Amazon accounts. But as far as odd gifts go, my parents ( who live 700 miles away) got us a combo rice cooker/wok and to this day, we still scratch our heads at it and it's still sitting in a corner.
