I was on this train. And actually, while the video is too poor resolution to tell, I may have been one of the people waving from the platform observation car...at least, that's what I did for the second half of the trip. It was so much fun, leaning out to take pictures, feeling cinders plinking off my safety glasses at 70mph, waving at everybody along the way...
All of the coaches in this video, with the exception of the car directly before the Wisconsin Central-colored office car, are owned by the Friends of the 261. The stainless steel cars are ex-Pennsylvania Railroad high-speed coaches.
They'll use whatever coach cars they can get there hands on. Usually they're leased or borrowed. The maroon cars are Canadian Pacific, they regularly exchange cars with the 261. The 261 engine itself is actually owned by a Green Bay Wisconsin museum and is in it's second 10 year lease.

What are the silver and light red coaches on these excursions along with the Milwaukee and CP coaches? I've seen both 261 and CP 2816 pull them.

I'm not sure. I have seen them on both steam trains as well. I will have to ask someone next time I go to work.
