This is a PTL Performer lantern, with the delta based arrow lens, and the Epco lanterns have the curved base arrow lens. Maybe you can ask one of the elevator workers if they have any parts from the old elevator.
Nice direction lanterns. I was wondering to get some of those soon and where caqn you get them? I was wondering to get some Otis lanterns and displays from ILVA in lakeside since there closing down and knocking the building down.
Yes, that is an A# note, and the Dover chime is one octave higher with the 1000 Hz "B" note. It also sounds like a variation of the Schindler HT bell, but this is a custom low-tone module for this type of elevator.
really cool

Yes, and this is a GAL/PTL Performer lantern with the delta based arrow, most common on Otis elevators.

Actually, it's called a Fanned Arrow on Unitec's website.

That's correct, and I too like the fantail arrow, since it has that vintage 1950's look to it.

Some Dover impulse chimes can be a 1024 Hz "C" note.
escalatorgeek881 3 years ago
That's correct, and it is in between the "B" & "C" notes.

Those chimes you played on the piano was an A#. The common Dover chime makes a high B note, which is over and octave higher.
escalatorgeek881 3 years ago
I used my electronic music keyboard in the piano mode to make the bell sounds.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
where did you get the chime?
patricknedz 3 years ago
Very cool. Is that an .mp3 recording that you played on your computer?
