Im a college student without a job so I use academic grants and scholarships I earned to pay bills and stuff. Suppose near the end of the semester when I'm out of money, something happens where I have to leave town or be killed. I can't help myself, so I have to hope someone can help me out. Great post. The same thing is happening in Haiti. Volunteers are cleaning-up the mess, while Haitians are sitting around doing NOTHING. It seems when the government is taking care of you from birth to death, you're unable to fend for yourself. Good point about how you went through a hurricane yourself and were able to get the situation under control. It seems those without constant government intervention would have ceased to exist by now.
