There are loads of bands here, some from south africa, some from australia, canada, new zealand no doubt, probably a few from the British Army (which includes the Scottish Regiments) yes i'd prefer Scottish independance too, but as it stands at the Moment the Scots are 'British' by law, and the Scottish regiments are part of the BRITISH Army, i'm part English part Scottish, i dont consider myself 'British' but i am and i dont like it either, but thats just the way it frickin is!!

There is no direct oath to the government or any political party - however since the government is appointed by HM The Queen and governs on the Crown's behalf the military owns the government it's obedience. It's our way of keeping control of the military out of political hands - by taking an oath to a figure that is to most intents and purposes powerless
