The scriptures you call the Bible were compiled and determined the be scripture long after the supposedly claimed writing of them. There's as much faith believing in the Bible being the word of God as believing that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. Both cannot be scientifically proven at all.

It is true that originally mormonism was EXTREMELY racist and completely excluded African Americans and Indians from their cult. Gee, V, Joe had a few affairs, whether they were "legitimized" thru his polygamy rev is an issue. I would say one big issue you can pick on with the toon is the tone of voice and screechy spider music. Which I love. But the theology, while compact, is mormon doctrine. I am surprised at many mormons are unaware of polygamous jesus and gods and perfection towards becoming gods. The Freemasonry stuff must be researched. It's amazing how 2000 years of Christianity was overturned by J. Smith. Polygamy, Blood Atonement, Adam-God Theory, Endowments and oaths, all very different to Original Christianity. Mormons don't accept any traditional definitions of Christianity so why do the Mormon Hierarchy strive to get "traditional" Christians to accept Mormonism as Christian? Quid Pro Quo? I would like to bear my testimony, I know that the church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints is not a true church, I do not believe that JS was a true prophet of God. I do not believe there were gold plates, I do not believe JS saw anything in the woods in 1820. I was a missionary (Elder) and left my mission with only 6 months left. I have left the church, I found Jesus as My Lord and Savior. I do not have to follow JS any longer. I am FREE!

I know. That cartoon was SO False. I mean, I am not even a member and know that's not true because I have researched the Mormons so much (like equivilent of like 25-30 hours) that I know that cartoon is inaccurate. I can make a cartoon saying that this is what "they really believe" and then millions of people would believe it. Thank you for putting up this video to show people that the cartoon wasn't real. Actually, Joseph F Smith and Bruce R McKonkie claimed that those who fought most valiantly are Mormons, (except the disabled--they're disabled because they didn't fight valiantly) and the disabled and black people are that way because they were not valiant.

If I give you a reference to where Joseph Fielding Smith says that almost word for word, and was quoted in a Church lesson manual, does that just mean that he was "speaking as a man"?
What about Brigham Young's assertion that black people wouldn't get the priesthood until all other people had been ressurected? Was that speaking as a man or a prophet of God?

Mormon Theology creates a climate of divorce when a spouse decides the church is not true. Simply because the Theology teaches that if one member quits then the family unit in Celestial Kingdom is ruined and a spouse fears their Exhaltation is at risk without a believing spouse.
Any member no believing this is likely asleep through church meetings!

About Utah's use of antidepressants: Before you embarrass yourself - first read more about the study that was done in 2002 (that you are referring to in your comment). Not in Anti-Mormon literature but in scientific publications.
For example - the 2002 Express Scripts publication shows that Arizona and Idaho (large Mormon population) don't have a high use of antidepressants. How could it be linked to the "Mormon culture"?...

I don't know who Edelman is, 3. reading Anti-Mormon literature has been my hobby for years, 4. One of the criticism in the early days of the Church was that unlike the rest of American women - Mormon women enjoyed more freed., had their own associat., were active in politics, etc. Do you know what State the 1st woman in the Congress came from?

Ok - so I am not going to go on and on about the antidepressants (forgive me but I've met a lot of Mormons in my life and I know that even though the LDS religion does not immunize people from depression or other conditions - it brings more peace and less stress into peoples' lives).
