Actually if you drive it with a light foot my friends viper gets about 26mpg on highway trips around 70mph in 6th gear. City under a light foot (no boost) would be about 10-12mpg.

Doesn't need nearly as much boost because of the massive engine. The supra's engine could never make as much power as a viper's engine naturally aspirated, that is. But with the help of turbos, the supra's engine can make high HP. To tell you the truth, any engine can make high hp if mods are made and boost is high enough. Doesn't mean I'd bet on it lasting long though

It would have over 2500 HP bro. Imagine if a little bitty ricer engine with 40 lbs. of boost can make 1000 HP, how much an 8.4L can make. You see people always say how ricers don't need all that displacement to make high HP, but 90% of their hp comes from boost alone. If our cars, ran that much boost then we couldn't control them, they would have 3000 HP

Why do people assume you can just scale up power like that? Engines with larger reciprocating components are WEAKER than engines with smaller components. This is why 1.5 liter turbo F1 engines could handle nearly 1,000 hp/L for tens of minutes while Top Fuel engines blow to pieces after about 3 seconds at that power level. Plus these huge engines have to be pretty lightly built because of their size so they don't weigh 900 lbs.

The power is there since it is the same v-10 that hennessey bases all of their products after however, they just took a car that is devoted for a road course and now they have a car that is completely out of balance. It is not all about power where too much power, in this case, will snap the car around. Further, the weight balance is now all biased towards the front which again adds to the overall imbalance of the project. Love the power, just not in a car that is TRULY meant for a road course.
