  • Sanity is for the weak.

  • What I don't get, is that in the story, holmes never fell. the footsteps just went off the cliff so they though he had fallen. But in the movie you can actually see him fall. So how is he still alive?

  • When i saw that waterfall I instantly knew what was going to happen....

  • I was barely breathing during this fight scene, especially at the part of 1:03 through 1:24

  • At 1:03 through 1:24 I couldn't breath when I first saw the movie

  • I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the actual fight, totally taken by surprise!! I love it how holmes closed his eyes and Moriaty was screaming as they fell. Absolutely amazing movie!! =D

  • 1:02 to 1:16 makes this awsome

  • The End ?

  • Holmes: Conclusion inevitable ...Unless ! ! !

I love when Watson enters and Holmes closes eyes, and drags Moriarty of balcony.

A moving scene. I was really sad when i saw it ='(

  • You think your the only one who can play this game?

  • M: Come now... you think you're the only one who can play this game? Trap arm, target weakness...

H: Ah, there we find the boxing champion of Cambridge...

    M: Competent, but predictable.

    H: Arsenal running dry...

    M: Wound taking it's toll...?

H: Injury makes defense untenable. Prognosis: increasingly negative.

M: Let's not waste anymore of eachother's time... We both now how this ends.

    H: Conclusion, inevitable. Unless...

(Watson enters. Holmes closes eyes, and drags Moriarty of balcony.)

  • CONCLUSION...

    Inevitable...

  • @Xboxmega9 unless...

  • @amazingfan15 yeah

  • It like breaks my heart when Watson walks out and sees Holmes pull Moriarty over the waterfall with him and Watson's face is like :{ </3

  • @InsaneGeniousMoments that was the best part.

  • you tube: song makes ears vulnerable to enjoyment

user: must watch this more for inspiration

  • nice flick leakedmovies . biz

  • Watson (thinking to himself, before the fight simulation ensues): Come now... you two really think you're the only ones that can play this game... *smiles and tilts head, moving eyebrow up like Moriarty*

*scene reveals that the entire movie was a mental simulation of Watson planning every entire thing that would happen.*

*Watson opens the door, to watch Holmes latched onto Moriarty jumping off*

  • Holmes: ...injury makes defense attainable. Prognosis increasingly negative.

Moriarty: Lets not waste anymore of one another's time. We both know how this ends.

    Holmes: Conclusion inevitable ...Unless!!!

  • @mjmac0415 *untenable, not attainable.

  • Holmes: His advantage my injury. My advantage his rage. Incoming assault thorough but experienced. Use his momentum to counter.

Moriarty: Come now you really think you're the only one who can play this game. Trap arm, target weakness. Follow with haymaker.

Holmes: Ah, very fine the boxing champion of Cambridge.

Moriarty: Competent, but predecitable. Now allow me to reply.

Holmes: Aresenal running dry, adjust strategy.

    Moriarty: Wound taking its toll.

    Holmes: As I feard...

  • @mjmac0415 feral, not thorough. there we find, not very fine. feared not feard

  • @luckyx777 Well excuse me mister script writer. My apologies. I just wrote what I thought I heard.

  • THE END?

  • Prognosis: Increasingly Negavtive

  • Wait a minute! Both bodies were not found, right? So Professor Moriarty is still alive and that fight was only the beginning of things! The ultimate fight will have yet to come! Like Basil vs Ratigan in the Great Mouse Detective or something!

  • @Mio248 Actually Morairty is dead, at least when the director sticks to the original books.

and the story:'' the final adventure'', Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wanted to make that the final Sherlock story, but due to popular demand he wrote some more stories, in which the first features the fact that Sherlock survived but Moriarty died. Sherlock''s new arch enemy becomes Colonel Sebastian Moran, and later a bunch of other guys.

You should go read the books , I can recommend them dearly to you

  • @mathijssmith Oh okay. So (in the books) this specific scene was suppose to be Holmes' and Moriarty's last stand against eachother?

  • @Mio248 yes and the dead of both of them

  • @mathijssmith Wow, that's deep. Yeah, if it isn't too much trouble for you, I would indeed like a recommendation. I warn you; I have never read the Sherlock Holmes Books, however.

  • @mathijssmith could you tell me some name of the books???? :D

  • I felt so bad for Holmes when he was loosing (-_-)

  • *SPOILER*

When it showed Holmes falling off the edge of the balcony at the end, and 1:04 played, I got so many chills down my spine.

    Hans is a genius.

  • @raseori I know! I couldn't help but think in my head ("Come On Holmes! Get with 'em!"). And then it would show Mariarty getting the upper hand and I would be like ("Nooo!!!") I swear, Mr Zimmer can really add to the effect of a scene showing one of your most favorite heroes loosing to a nemesis/villian! This scene indeed had to be the most intense out of the whole movie!!!

  • Just ended 2011 watching this movie, literally as Sherlock typed the end ? The clock struck 12:00 and fireworks went off outside. The second viewing I caught so much stuff I missed the first time, that last fight however is just ice on the Cake. Satisfying chess match between geniuses literally and physically

  • Prof. Moriarty, put him alongside The Joker from The Dark Knight : )

  • "Come now... You really think you're the only one that can play this game!" - Professor Moriarty before he kicks Holmes ass.

  • @mjmac0415 Jesus that guy was a beast in this movie not to mention the actor himself XD

  • @mjmac0415 true we'll see more kick ass in sherlock holmes 3

  • @mjmac0415 "Ahh there we find the boxing champion of cambridge"

  • @mac19971 That's what I thought he said too, but luckyx777 me.

  • @mjmac0415 Aye, he did XD

  • so glad hans zimmer did the music again, it made the first film so memorable

  • this fight at the end after the big chess game made this movie all the wild for me

  • @rsanders2003 same here. still trying to find the music for that! don't know which track it is...

  • @MeridianSon i this is the fight scene score, when they got into the out think each other mode and Holmes makes the quick decision at the end of the track

  • @rsanders2003 Tell me about it, best 1800's based detective film ever made yet...
