If i were to guess why the recording is not as polished, i would say they might have used their own recording equipment and recorded stuff separately in something like a home studio, just to put their ideas on something.

This was released with the name "Untitled Instrumental Demo" on ABR's myspace page. They released it in between Thrillseeker and Messengers. It was up for 2-3 months and then never made it publically available again (that I know of.) Obviously, it later became "the eleventh hour" once they got further into recording "messengers"

It is definitely a demo. The drums sound way different on the CD. So do the guitars. The drums even play some different fills. like at 0:56. It's a demo.

the ONLY thing I dont like about Messengers is that the snare is reeeally quiet. its annoying, sometime hes doing crazy blastbeats real fast especially like on vital signs i think it is, but you can barely hear it on the album...

Irony - I only listen to ABR, or any music for instrumental talent, infact, I ignore vocals for the most part, but I think ABR plays better with vocals. I think it would be the shit if they just took Composure and muted the vocal track (although I do enjoy his vocals, I'm just an instrumental guy)
