hey this is a track that brings back memories if your new to aesop you need to pay extra attention to his metophor exmple" i pluck the pedals of a classic blode rose on at a time"
uhmm... but it's the same person. The only reason his name is Quas' is that he actually rhymes over his own beat. Whereas Madlib is his "beats only" moniker... so how are the beats different?
why do people from the 70`s consider music from their age the best ever.. because they were all on "drugs". i say you can fuck yourself up worse popping pills(anti-depressants, relaxatives? shit like that) than by smoking buds. im not into taking acid, cause that shit is with you for life, one way or the other, and coke is just a very expensive ego-trip. fuck that. i just want to smoke my weed in peace and sip some brew. whatever anyone else does, is their business :)
@justSELF Different music geners are different. They think theirs is the best the same way you think yours is the best. It was played for them and matched them like the music from your generation is played for you and matchs you. 1 thing to notice is that music is good in any generation. You have to listen without bias and give in to the sound. and you dont really know much bout drugs bra. But keep smoken nig expand your mind
Well, the music "genre" i listen to is fairly broad. I have been blessed with a circle of friends that bring in a large variety of different things(and styles of music!). So i`m sort of well rounded in that sense? I love Pink Floyd, even Led Zeppelin is great on some occasions, hell, even Queen.. Then again i was heavily into drum & bass music at some point. Yes, Hip-hop music will always be my main thing, just like Mary Jane. Yes indeedy Breiks, Soul and Funk too. Too damn short!
Hell, my momma raised me on some 40`s - 50`s rock and roll and I still lost my heart to the rhythm when I first head De La Soul and N.W.A.. I know its a big difference between the two, but that was the first time I heard rap/hip-hop music in 89 maybe? what ever :)
you say I dont know much about drugs? Well, im only willing to share this much. What i really meant was that taking legal "medicine" is sometimes much worse to you that smoking an illegal substance from the earth. peace
uhh, Aesop talks about drugs all over FCDFK. Tons of drugs. Says pockets like maracas that'll shake when he steps....usa on a ketamine disaster.... ceratonin weekends were merely comedic hazing...all in different songs......druuuuuugs.
He makes TONS of references to LSD, Marijuana, and coke. From the sounds of his songs, he always paints coke as evil though. "It's that warriors vs. baseball fury element that glitches rotary sensory development." Acid fucks up your rotary sensory development. "Peter piper pick peppers, and run rock rhymes, aesrock mighta smoked one too many dimes in his time."
Where exactly in the movie Invasion of the Body Snatchers

The sax part comes from a song by Vangelis, called "Blade Runner Blues" - I can see how the other guy woulda got em confused
grizamaluke 9 months ago
@grizamaluke The synth at the very beginning, however, IS from Blade Runner.

Must not sleep must warn others
Trust blocks creep where the dust storm hovers
I milk my habitat for almost everything I want
Sometimes I take it all and still can't feel this pitfall in my gut
And I'm like must not sleep must warn others
Trust blocks creep where the dust storm hovers
I'm trying to walk on top of sunshine
But it's ridiculous at times that's why I tore 'em with this warning
homeboy9232599 2 years ago
Aesop's beats kind of remind me of MF Doom's to an extent. his older stuff, as Madivillian.
It's just because it's "something different".
myspam512 2 years ago
The madvillain beats were actually made by Quasimoto if I'm not mistaken.

I just think that the beats he makes with Madlib's name are less fucked up than the one with Quas. I mean, Quas are like psychedelic and shit.
