  • You go spitzer. Obama can take a lesson, we must fight the fight, we will win them all. we just lack what it takes to stand and fight ignorance.

Think Religion: can you convince a devout believer he is wrong? No chance. So exchange 'Religion' with an alleged 'GOP Economic Plan', since there isn't one that goes deeper than cutting taxes and benefits for the poorest among us and draw your own conclusions. Its in their blood and everyone on the right has been fighting dirty for decades.

  • Elliot Spitzer for President!

  • How is this bumbling two bit hustler so fucking powerful?

  • OWNED BY SPITZER, WOW THAT WAS ENLIGHTNING.

  • listen to us out here like we think we know who is wrong...I personally think Spitzer knows what he is talking about....OK all you arguers who don't know .....GO

  • This guy is worse than O'reily at letting the interviewee talk. Shut the fuck up Spitzer. YOU ARE FAT FUCKEN FLAT WRONG.

  • @higheddy89 So is smoking the Norquist cock your cup of tea shitstain? This random little piece of GOP elite shit doesn't deserve the spit you put on his cock. R U doing the same for the Wall Sreet ratz? No wonder the GOP can't wait to get all cumdrunk when Norquist and his elite 1% are in town.

  • @teabaggersblow The Obama health care plan has free handouts of Pepto Bismol to clear up your indigestion, so you won't have shitstains in your tightey whiteys. But then again, I suspect your shitstains aren't caused by stomach problems, they're caused by having too many dicks stuffed up your ass, a.k.a. blown sphincter. Barry Oretard's plan has Preparation H handouts for degenerate rectum diddlers like you. Go suck off the government teat a little more, you perverted anal sex loving faggot.

  • @meccaturbo Norquist is waiting with baited breath just like you and all the other shitstained republicans. Does Norquist let you get off after you suck his elite cock dry or does he make you get your cookies off in the closet?

  • That is how you slaughter an interviewee.

  • the reason why Eliot Spitzer will not shut up for even one second is because he knows that allowing Grover Norquist to speak, would prove Eliot Spitzer wrong

  • Eliot Spitzer is flat wrong.

  • @nakedBison69 It's simple math, Grover is the main force enriching the 1%'. And he's just a ratbag GOP lobbyist. NOBODY voted for him.

  • berenda01 the ratbag Obama lobbyist is so jealous of hard-working, successful people. NOBODY voted for him

  • No allows Grover to talk!!

  • I lived in a city that bought into the Norquist views about school taxes. In a period of 18% inflation that put a cap on the amount of property tax raised for schools at the same time the district was forced into court ordered busing. The teachers got a 3/10ths of one percent pay increase and 20% of them quit. Test scores that had been high, dropped dramatically. Starting salary for teachers qualified you for food stamps. The goal was to undermine education.

  • Grover Norquist is an idiot. Where is Casey Anthony when we need her

  • Um......... Grover is right. Actually. Lower the corporate rate, and the job creators will stop taking their jobs over seas to avoid the taxes, now they just take their jobs to china and india to avoid taxes. High corporate rates stunt and even destroy american jobs and american productivity. You have to fix the job market before you can look at the particular rates. Putting bandaid on shotgun wound does not work.

  • @SupremeAmerican

Lowering corporate tax rates would benefit nobody except the CEO, who would pocket the savings first. and then celebrate by cutting more jobs to India/China/Phillipines and terrifying the rest of the people in the organization to work harder for less pay and more work and more get treating like outright dirt. Face it: The jobs have left America, and they are not coming back. And if your Muslim Jihadist buddy Grover Norquist has it his way, Sharia Law will be implemented.

  • @justinvpro Um. No. Ur wrong sorry buddy. U know who this tax on the rich effects? The guy who owns a gambinos pizza franchise down the street. The guy who owns a cereal box making factory in the industrial district. Hundreds of people per town, thousands per city. All those jobs. You force them to pay high taxes, and force them to give health bennefits they cant afford to their employers, and you effectively kill the jobs. That gambinos goes outa business. That box factory goes to china.

  • @justinvpro As a result. Our productivity goes down, more people get on wellfare and unemployment sky rockets. The dollar is devalued, but wait. Now. Guess what. All those extra taxes u put on them. It's not effective. The dollar has devalued and those 'extra' taxes now mean less. And the libbs just dont care. They want to destroy the economy and they trick naive kids like you by putting a pretty bow on it and calling it 'taxing the rich'. Then, they overspend and get us downgraded. GJ guys...

  • @justinvpro So if u wanna talk economics, talk economics, Defend your liberals. But dont do it with petty character attacks, do it with logic and reason. Your petty character attacks show me several things, among which are: You dont know what you're talking about, you know you've lost the debate, you know the libs are wrong, and you have nothing of substance to say. So what say you now? Wanna try it again?

  • @SupremeAmerican Um.....One problem. Although businesses create jobs, individuals do not. If we give the Packers a tax cut, maybe they'll use it to hire someone, maybe not. But if we give A. Rogers a tax cut, how many jobs will he create? Most wealthy people in this country are NOT job creators. We can look at low taxes for business to encourage growth, but individual incomes need to be TAXED. We can't survive on such historically low revenue levels, especially during war. So Grover is wrong.

  • @WildlifeGreenGirl no. he's not wrong. 200k is riddiculous for the limit of rich. You tax a business starter or business owner who's net income is only 200k, and he cant hire, he cant continue his business. That is his net income getting taxed. Now assholes like warren buffet who earn so much you cant shake a stick at it, of course they say "oh yes i'll let you tax me" they are not small business owners. The tax the rich affects private, small, business owners, factories, etc etc.

  • @SupremeAmerican

Bullshit! The business owner isn't grappling over the idea of hiring people he is grappling over weather or not consumers are spending money on his shit. Employees are the biggest cost in a company and the employer has to see 1.5 times an employee's salary coming in. Fact check that! If I tax you x% and you say you can't hire someone because of it I'll call you a fucking liar. You trying to pocket that money not hire someone.

  • @flirtwd you need to learn basic economics before you look foolish again. Taxing the net income of a business limits currently between 30-50 percent of their entire base of funds. A normal profit margin for a small business owner will be around 1-2 percent of the net income of the business. you look at the other 95 or so percent and that's where you get employee salaries and supplies costs. Taxing the net income destroys all 3.

  • @flirtwd BEcause taxing the net income destroys the entire fund base.

  • @SupremeAmerican I here what your saying but your suggesting we cover the small business owner until that person can get demand up enough to they feel they no longer need the Tax Break Right..we tried that ..And it's not working the President has not raised taxes..the rate has been the same.Bottom line if you have a good product you will make money..But the real issues is Demand and Healthcare

  • @melskilove our taxes are too high right now. There is no such thing as us 'covering' the business owner, only demanding from him. If you want to be competitive with countries like china, you have to have the same deck of cards, lower the taxes. People who advocate higher taxes for small businesses are either A- completely oblivious to how economics works. Or B- trying to destroy the country's industry.

  • @SupremeAmerican again the tax rates has not moved We are trying to run the Government on less money each and every year..small companies or corporation have to start becoming creative ..you can lower taxes all you want it's not going to create more jobs or more demand in mass quantity...we lower the tax Rate and gave tax cuts, We only created 2 million jobs in 8yrs..So lets lower Taxes some More hmm, we need to go after the China on Intellectual Property theft and currency manipulation.

  • Respond to this video... this is the presidents argument right here

  • @WildlifeGreenGirl The other problem, is that raising the taxes and halting small business growth, this does NOTHING to increase our productivity, it actually decreases our productivity. So those raised taxes mean even less after that, because the value of the dollar goes down.

  • Elliot Spitzer is being exactly what he is: a scum attorney who loves to interrupt, plant words in people's mouths, then move on to the next question when the interviewee gets 3 whole consecutive words in.

  • grover norquist is a bastard... the truth is it makes NO DIFFERENCE where money comes from, if a scientist or doctor can get the money for supplies, work gets done... another fact, the government needs to go thru a whole legal process to reduce the amout of jobs it creates, while corporations can end 10,000 jobs in a day because corporations are ran like dictatorships... the economy needs to be a cycle, the poor always pay billionairs, and the only way for billionairs to pay the poor is tax

  • THE BEGIN OF END OF AMERICA...JEWS OWN AMERICA

  • @AFRICA4AFRICANS

Yeah you paranoid fuck. Keep believing 14 million people own the world.

  • @AngelXOsaze IT TOOK BERNIE MADOFF AND A COUPLE OF JEWSTO STEAL 50 BILLION DOLLARS

IT A GROUP OF JEWS TO FUND BOTH SIDE OF WORLD WAR TWO...IT TAKES LESS THAN 25 JEWS TO CONTROL THE U.S MEDIA 100 TO CONTROL THE WORLD BANKING SYSTEM....14M....WOW 14M IMPOSTERS FAKERS CALLED ASHKENAZIES THAT WERE THE LARGEST SLAVE SHIP OWNER IN THE WORLD THAT WERE THE LARGEST SLAVER OWNERS IN AMERICA...YEAH THOSE PEOPLE THE ASHKENAZIES THAT HAS STOLEN A LAND THAT WAS NEVER THEIRS

  • Grover Norquist is ruining this country. He is a parasite on the government. Why can't he get a real job and stop being a leach.

  • Hay buddy, Rep. have said that when Clinton raised taxed did helps some when he cut the dept, oops... sorry about stating the facts.

  • And this is the knucklehead who is lobbying furiously against the best interests of the middle class in Washington. The fact that this guy and his money get heard and we don't, especially when WE are the ones paying that 46% and 36% respectively in taxes, while his cronies pay ZEOR absolutely infuriates me!

  • I love how Norquist is factually right on everything he said, while Spitzer is wrong on everything. Spitzer thinks he is alot smarter than he actually is...

  • @aaasssfffdddiii I love how people like you, who don't make more than 250k a year support policies that Grover Norquist advicates, cutting your own throat. You aren't rich, this guy is not on your side, you are just brainwashed or a fool.

  • @jeffmoto72 Yes, anyone who disagreees with you is either brainwashed or a fool. I love how you liberals talk about having an open mind. I guess the open mind thing only applies to people who agree with you

The policies Norquist advocates will make our entire economy grow faster and innovation will increase. Even though I make less than 250k, I will benefit from the higher average income and the various innovations that come from freer markets and lower taxation... (not to mention freedom)

  • @aaasssfffdddiii OK...and the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy, that have been in place more than ten years have created so many jobs...FAIL! You are a fool.

  • @jeffmoto72 Ya, I guess because one tax cut didn't coincide with a time of massive job growth we can conclude that high taxes are good for the economy. Have you ever heard of correlation not equaling causation?

Since your playing this game. I guess the 1964 tax cut and the 1981 tax cut prove that tax cuts do help create jobs because they did coincide with good job growth... Correlation always equals causation!!!

  • @aaasssfffdddiii Jeff is right, you are a fool. Tax or no tax to corporations in today's environment means little to job creation in the U.S. Corporations are, in fact, creating jobs - OVERSEAS! There is nothing you can do to change that, short of legislating against any foreign job development and we cannot, as a nation, compete with people who live in mud huts and use outhouses and have no running water, except a common villiage tap.

  • @MiraMcB It sounds like you are endorsing protectionism, which is opposed by virtually ALL economists!!!

Companies are creating jobs in places where taxes aren;t to high. Companies are leaving states like Ohio and Michigan. But they arent going to China, they are going to low tax states like Texas...

Low taxes do increase growth, that is a fact...

  • @aaasssfffdddiii Call it whatever you like. Repugs are very handy with the evil-sounding labels. Think of us as the swamped boat and "protectionism" as the bucket. If protectionism is what will keep jobs in this country (incentive prgrm developed jobs, no less!!!) then so be it. Texas? You mean the 200k new jobs in the energy sector? The ones opening up due to the economic downturn? How sad is that? How helpful is it to the other 4.9 mil jobless? Nada. Low taxes has nothing to do with it.

  • @MiraMcB Low taxes has everything to do with it. It is a fact that lower taxes attract new businesses. You are an economic illiterate.

Protectionism does NOT save jobs, it kills them. Protectionism is a tax. Do you really think a tax creates jobs?

You are even dumber than I thought....

  • @aaasssfffdddiii Look, Genius, the Bush tax cuts have been in place since 2001/2003 respectively. If tax cuts were the answer, we wouldn't be in the mess we're in now. Not only did the Repuglicans go hog wild on the spending for 8 solid years, deregulate us into a catastrophe of trillions, but they effectively cut off a major portion of our national income!!! You do not have a clue what you are talking about. You are just spouting whatever nonsense you hear on Pox News. I'm done.

  • @MiraMcB You can Call Republicans names and bitch about Fox News as much as you want. That doesnt change the fact that you are an economic illiterate... Lower tax rates generate growth... Period...

If higher taxes were so great, France would be booming...

  • @aaasssfffdddiii LOL

These tax rates have been in place for a very long time we had a net job loss over these past 10 years and entrenched us in close to a trillion dollars of debt.

Clinton raised the rates and we had an Economic boomtown....Bush lowered taxes...sadness....Clinton raised......Happy. Understand?

The people of France are happier on average than your average American. So obviously they're happy.

  • @Seedofwinter Wow, it sure is simple. The Clinton Boom had nothing to do with the internet and technology. Clinton raised taxes and boom, happy. Just as you said

Then the evil Bush came in and cut taxes and boom, sadness.

You don't seem to understand how complex the economy is. The economy does directly correlate with the tax rate. However, economic research has shown that the economy does better with lower taxes, relative to when taxes are higher.

We are about 40% wealthier than France

  • @aaasssfffdddiii I'm glad you took off your Aegis. Capitalism is built on innovation, and the economy was successful because the internet revolution. Good. We agree that taxes have no bearing on whether a business strives to make a profit and grow or not.

And since taxes don't matter whether a business is going to strive to succeed, it won't matter if we raise taxes on them and make them pay more, especially the more successful ones. Clinton did it without dire and we got a Surplus.

    Good day.

  • @Seedofwinter Your last comment is not at all what I said, or what reality is like. What is true is that the economy is a complex thing, the tax rate is not the ONLY thing that matters. However, it does matter, alot.

"We agree that taxes have no bearing on whether a business strives to make a profit and grow or not"

Wow, are you saying that a 100% tax rate will not affect business decisions at all?

I certainly don't agree, and I don't think any logical person possibly could...

  • @aaasssfffdddiii Where are your facts?

Clinton raised taxes to 39% and their were no negative consequences to the economy, and the middle class medium income rose by 14&.

When Reagan and Bush the 2nd raised taxes, the middle class stagnated/ devolved, while the top 1% have quadrupled their income.

Slashing taxes across the boards may help the biggest corporations, but it doesn't help the American people. Our economy shouldn't be built upon what's best for the few but rather for the many.

  • @Seedofwinter We upped the tax rate up 4% and it didn't have a consequence. CASE CLOSED. NO IMPACT. If the tax increases did have a negative impact, please SHOW IT TO ME, visa-vi ,FACTS. I would relish it.

Bush tax cuts dug us in debt and had no substantive impact on the Economy, rather than give handouts for the super wealthy. Medium income stagnated/fell; this part of the economy MATTERS.

Unless you have the facts and data to back up your mythical arguments, don't expect a response.

  • @aaasssfffdddiii Tax rate doesn't matter AT ALL. we have had tax rates exponentially higher than the mere 39/40% being proposed in yesteryear. The only thing that matters is innovation in a Capitalist economy. This is why you hear the President pushing for investment in clean energy and biotech because that's where most folks think the dormant potential for massive growth lies.

Is 0% tax rate acceptable to you? Since you want to act like a tool.

  • @Seedofwinter Wait, if the tax rate doesn't matter at all, as you say. People would work just hard, invest just as much, and start just as many businesses at a tax rate of 100% than at a tax rate of 0%.

Please tell me I am misreading your argument?

Do you really think that people will continue to work just as much when there is no reward for their work?

Again, I really hope, for your sake, I am somehow misreading your argument?

  • @aaasssfffdddiii LOL Sounds like you're squirming and moving sideways. Listen.

We are not talking about raising a tax rate from 35% to 100%. We are talking about a tax rate that is fair for the amount of profits a company makes. We have had tax rates at 90% at times, and it has had no bearing on Economic growth. We had a tax rate of 90% on the wealthiest Americans in the late 1940's. NO CONSEQUENCE.

Of course you can't tax at 100%, because you take profits away completely.

  • @aaasssfffdddiii I guess I should not have said "Tax rates don't matter" to someone such as yourself. It's obvious that this debate is centered around the Bush tax cuts vs Clinton cuts, but since you have lost the argument, you feel the need to play games of semantics. You should learn how to lose gracefully, this is just pathetic on your part. LOL

    Good day.

  • @Seedofwinter No, you said twice that tax rates have no effect on behavior at all, an absolutely absurd statement. Plus, I thought this debate was about tax policy, not the Bush cuts vs the Clinton increases.

I didn't lose any argumennt. You just said the same ridiculous thing twice (tax rates have no impact on behavior). Even the most left wing economist would agree that this is absurd...

That statement alone should lose you the debate...

  • @aaasssfffdddiii LOL I have better things to do than have a debate with someone that plays games with words and doesn't understand context.

I have been talking about the Bush tax cuts/ Clinton tax increases for most of the duration of this debate. NOBODY advocates an 100% tax rate, for you to even bring it up shows that you're stretching.

Lose me the debate? I've already won. The facts are their for all to see. You're the part of a stubborn minority that just can't live with the facts.

  • @Seedofwinter First, the middle class gainedd alot under Reagan. Second, the idea that the high tax rates in the mid 20th century proves that high taxes dont hurt growth has been debunked numerous times, it is a terrible example.

You said, twice, that taxes have NO impact on behavior. If that were true, why not raise taxes to 100%.

Here in reality (a place you should try going to), taxes have a big impact on behavior...

  • The ol "rich people creates jobs" lie that the republican party wants people to buy into.

  • Let him answer the questions, Eliot !

  • Don't confuse Elliot's booboo with his intellect. I would put him up againt any of these money grubbing whores that love the little guy to pick up the tab! Go Elliot!!!

  • Spitzer's the best interviewer around. He takes no B.S. answers from any goddamn republican.

  • Eliot Spitzer is a beast, didn't let this clown get out of saying moronic statements.

  • Holy shit Eliot !!!!! I got Grover's blood all over my computer.

  • Norquist is a fucking scum bag. Same old NAM bullshit.

  • A lower corporate tax rate DOES NOT create jobs. A lower income tax rate for the rich does not create jobs. A lower income tax for the working does not create jobs. Lowering taxes of any kind does not create jobs.

  • @TheUSMetalhead History begs to differ...

  • WHat a fn neurotic motormouth Spitzer is. Pathetic. He invites someone to interview, but doesn't give the guy a second sideways to talk. Reminds me of O'Reilly on Fox. They're all the same. Left - Right... all Progressive Leftists!

  • @turbomango Well if you even listened to the video like your idiot friend below you'd know this goof wouldn't answer the question.

  • how irritating... "your wrong...your wrong" . So let me ask you a question, then the man proceeds to answer, "I..." then is cut off with "your wrong, im right.." rinse...repeat. The guy should of just got up and walked off the set after throwing his mic in spitzers face.

  • Spitzer wasting his intelligence and talent on CNN interviewing morons instead of running NYC bc he got caught fooling around with a dumb whore. Face palm. Run for office Spitzer!

  • Eliot Spitzer is one of the best interviewers around. Keep up the good work.

  • @forbiddenfoe good interviewer. But he's wrong. He contradicts himself. Actually bad interviewer. You're not smart are you?

  • This guy is named after a muppet and I'm suppose to trust what he says?

Btw, I'm starting to like this former Governor, Spitzer, more and more....

  • Eliot Spitzer has become the only watchable person on CNN (esp since Anderson Cooper decided to begin pandering to the right).

  • Spitzer knows his shit

  • eliot spitzers a beast he kicked his ass

  • These people are destroying America with their nonsensical inability to comprehend numbers. You CANNOT avoid a shortage of revenue of you cut taxes. Even less so when you're throwing trillions on unnecessary wars.

  • I like this interviewer, he doesn't let people weasel out of giving an honest answer.
