And for the record, it's a true co-write. I think folks are bringing it up b/c some close to me know that I had another version to the song back in '07. However, Kells switched some things in the hook, re-arranged & changed the ending to make it more hopeful & more him. That's what a collaboration is & I'm honored to have someone of his caliber respect, let alone touch something I did. Give Phil a brk too b/c his piano touches helped make the track beautiful. Thanks Chris...i wasn't trying to start a war and i never discredited R-Kelly. That would be asinine. People were giving him MAJORITY of credit. Claiming he co-produced the beat, etc. I was just making sure they understood that he lyrics more or less came from u.

Didn't take ANYTHING away from Kellz because he still did a marvelous job singing the song and making it his own and it was in every sense of the way a true co-write. However co-writing is more than writing every lyric. That was my point.

someone on twitter just put me on to this text battle & I can't believe this. Look, this is Chris Henderson, R. Kelly is one of the only legendary status writer/producers we have who's still significant to today's urban&pop music. Just b/c I started the song shouldn't take anything away from his legacy. This dude single-handedly saved R&B many times thru many trends &phases! To work w/him was the opportunity of a lifetime. Glad y'all love the song, it means the world to me, thx. Buy Untitled!

p.s. Does it really matter if he wrote the whole song or not? We already know he didnt write everything on "Untitled".He has written hits for yeeaars and doesnt need to prove himself anybody anymore. Look at the credits on the cd folks. It says R Kelly, Chris Henderson. Where do people get the idea he didn't write any of this song? He is listed in writing, producing, and co-mixing of Elsewhere.

That's irrelevant. Trust me the song was done when R-Kelly heard it. Kellz just sung it. Made a couple MINOR changes hear and there but he didn't play a part in the lyrics or instrumentation of this song. It's not uncommon. Happens ALL the time.

Hater! Chris Henderson said that R. Kelly co-wrote this song!! Why the fuck would he lie when more than half of Untitled is produced and composed by other people and they're credited?? You're just a studio musician that doesn't mean you know shit about the process of the song. Just because R. wasn't in the studio with you doesn't mean he didn't participate in the process. You look like a damn fool disputing that R. Kelly didn't write a this song because he wrote 99.9% of his whole catalog

He co-wrote. Chris Henderson wrote the song but R. Kelly made re-arrangements. There's a difference. He deserved the credit he received. R. Kelly wrote almost all of his all albums.

WRONG. He didn't write the song. Producing is more than just making the beat so when it says co-produced in this instance that just means he played a role in formatting the song to fit his style but he didn't make the beat nor play instruments nor sit down and write this song.
