Q is a born and bred counter-attacker. His powerful attacking coupled with insurmountable defense proves this.

Doesn't help that Ibuki is a pressurer and she also has very low health.

With Q he is...if you've seen him use Sean, or Gouki, then you'd know that, in general, he's not. He's a turtler with Q because Q has very few options in a fight, which is why he hits so hard--and personally, I don't think it compensates fairly, hence his spot on the tier list. Don't get me wrong, I love Q, he's my main, but still...

I only like Q for his Self Destruct Super, otherwise I'd never play with the dude. I hate Hugo, too big. Ibuki is a somewhat fave and Gill's a beast to play with.

I like Q because I think he's cool looking, I like his taunt effect, and when used properly, can do A LOT of damage in a single combo.

yeah, his moveset is very reactionary but it also has holes. the only natural choice is to be defensive. he's too vulnerable and easy to parry-counter, on attack.

tiers has nothing to do with it. Q is a heavy hitter, and has as much if not more health that hugo. ibuki has low health and does little damage to him. ive lost to a Q many times as well because of the same reason. Im an ibuki player, and id land like 5 hits on a Q then hed hit me once and do the same amount of damage.

Q has less health, but more with taunts. Without taunts, first is Hugo, then Urien, then like a 6-way tie including Q. With taunts, it's Q, Hugo, Chun, Urien, then a 5-way tie.

Very late reply, but after 3 taunts, Q would still be low tier. The tier list usually focuses around a character's ability to control and take advantage of other character's weaknesses.

Q's bonus defense doesn't help him do damage to any character, it just gives him more opportunities.

If you fight a character who spanks you, and start the next round with 3 taunts in, you'll still get spanked, it'll just take longer.

You can't call it an analysis since I'm not using actual figures. Other than Q's spot on the tier list and the well known rule of controlling your space, my comment was an opinion to answer a hypothetical question.

@sotovo Everybody is tha same Tier has nothing to do with this game. Thats why its soo awesome. You have to know how to play with characters. The high tier chars are easier to play with. that's all the lower tier require more skill. But you notice the high tier chars have low health. For example ryu doing ex moves all day can be a problem checkit out.

I love how Kuroda has trained to remain completely calm when pushed to the corner(And I know for myself that its pretty hard to keep in control of things when you don't have much health left and your opponents raining down on you like that in the corner).

He just stays crouched and blocks until he sees an opening and he counters.

Can't help it. All throws have MASSIVE priority, as I always use throws as a means of escaping corner traps.

Uh, that taunt is the only thing making Q at par with the other characters. And even with it, he's more difficult to play than almost every other character.

Not really. Q's massive power and reliable supers make him at par with the other characters. Every street fighter character has an ablility that makes them different from others. Q's is strentgh ( that taunt). As seeing from how Kuroda handled multiple challengers with Q, with a matter of 10 to 20 moves per round, i'd say Q is fairly easy if you know what you're doing.

Kurodas defense is just insane. Just watch 0:23-0:40. He was basically stuck in that corner for what? 17 seconds? That's an eternity by SFIII standards. Nuts.

personally i love that feeling when urien or yun get you in a situation with their supers where you can only parry or block and you survive the entire ordeal without taking anything more than blockdamage. i only play at amateur level but it's so satisfying. especially since as a 12 player i have no instant wakeup attacks and have to take it a lot!

i kind of feel sry for the Ibuki in the 3rd round there. She was beating on him for a good 30 secs, hit him with how many throws, 2supers, and 1 hit from Q, the back MP, did almost the same damage she had done in all that.

Wow. How did Kuroda survive in the corner. Especially in the Final Round. Ibuki was coming hard, N Kuroda made a way of winning that round. Respect to both fighters. A great match. Kuroda has probably the best Q I have seen so far.
