I'm assuming you mean the part where his dad discovers his son's letter to Xiao Yu? Jay Chou wrote that letter in the sheet music after he went back in time to be with Xiao Yu. His dad realizes at that point that Xiao Yu was telling the truth all along and that's why he ran off to try and stop him from leaving.
