  • This song almost made me cry from all the memories that it brought back. Clapham common, Camden Town... Who else used to sit under Camden lock drinking with their mates? fucking legend material. I miss London so much. I need to come back home

  • Its not right to support Enter Shikari... not too impressed :(

  • im seeing them support enter shikari in february, is it the same for you?

  • too right!

  • what an awesome video!! i love this song...i love king blues!! they sing with so much passion :)

  • Adam Bantz from Fandangle partying along on the right :)

  • Old king blues before they got big is way better

  • what? there music barely change you douche. I hate being that say things like this, they've hardly sold out there orignal style and still perform quality music. There just popular and for that you dislike them? douche bag.

  • its all stellar :]

  • these guys r pretty sweet

  • drinking red wine and coke :D yay for Calimocho!!!

  • they are great at live

  • i love the kings blues =)

  • this song gives me goose-pimples. simply spectacular.

  • sound soo muhc better live aswell :p

  • saw them live last night this song was great i didnt really like the other still a great support they did

  • i saw them last night too, I couldn't decide if I liked them or not...

  • better than anti- flag woulda been :) (cba 2 work out times but i asume ur refering to them supporting rise against lol)

  • never seen a groupe of people so happy! lets hang the cunt, KING BLUES!!!!!!!

  • Their best song!!

Awesome band! Even better live! :)

  • Love the Song

    Love the Video

    Love the Band

    XD

  • where else can ya get it?

    nd how much?

  • if anyones going to buy the album, don't get it from HMV. It was £13.99 the last time I checked. Shocking!

  • Isn't this an advert for Orange?

  • Quiet simply the best video on youtube.

  • I just can't get over how pleased I am to find this band, they're so positive and tuneful and interesting 5* =D

  • Firstly, the albums 5 quid.

Secondly, these are probably one of the most honest, hard working bands in the UK today. I saw them support Anti Flag a year ago and they were absoultely mind blowing live. It was less of a gig and more of a gathering.

And if you listen to the album, as well as the first album 'Under The Fog', youll notice theyre as far away from Green Day as it is possible to get.

Best band of the last 10 years. Undoubtedly.

  • =]]

  • yh green day fucking sold out so bad. this band are nuffin like green day. green day have turned into pop rock teenage shit.

  • Comment removed

  • It's weird, I really can't hear the Greenday comparison.

    Odd.

Steller song though, the album overall is a fantastic piece of work.

  • Homeless squat to TOP OF THE POPS

media novelty? Hope not plus all punks

    should have a cockney accent.....should

be the law.....Great stuff BUT £13 for the

cd....ummm how many copies of The B IG

Issue do i have to sell(could take a while)

    to get tat?????

  • luceeee they might sound like greenday before greenday fucking sold out and now they don't stand for anything.

  • no they dont

  • So did King blues, there on Island records lol.

  • only wen a band stops playin the music they love for money or fame do they become sell outs

theres nothin wrong with bein rich and famous as long as u did it by bein yourself

  • and aslo the king blues never played anything they didnt want to

  • fuck u luceeeee kerrangs awesommeXD

  • THIS BAND IS NOT KERRANG WORTHY

  • Kerrang is rubbish to be fair, they're above Kerrang.

  • It is a bit Green Day-esque, to be fair.

  • I do like these alot but this song is very like old Green Day stuff.

  • Not really. I have every single green day album. And it's really not.

  • So do I. And it is. Particular the chorus (which actually sounds like a certain Green Day track which I can't put my finger on at the moment). It's not a bad thing. Of course I'm not talking about the voice or accent, but the songs sound in general. They're Green Day fans right? So I expect they would have taken some influence.

  • Ahh.... Sound a little similar to warning?

  • The opening sounds like one song, especially with the violin. But it's when he sings "we can live here forever without a care" it REALLY reminds me of Green Day but I still can't think which track.

  • same here!

  • damb ive just discoverd these guys and ther awsome

  • Bit late there dude bpeople have been listening to these for about 2 years. lol

  • lol i know lol i asked ma m8s and they known about em for ages i admit ive heard some of ther songs just never realy knew who was by lol and im usualy good with shit like that lol

  • I'm a bit worried at home mainstream they're becoming. They're moving furthur and furthur away from the likes of SB6 and Mouthwash, and closer to The Streets and Lilly Allen.

  • i only really heard their song save the world get the girl.. their other stuff is great though

  • Man the King Blues rock!!!!

  • saww these guys on the news lol talkin about how he used to sell the big issue, and they showed a clip of this vid nd i relii liked it, its a relii good song XD

  • Bought the Big Issue for the first time in my life the other day and it had an article about this band plus a link for a free download for this song.

    Amazing song, thank you.

  • What's the link ??? :D

  • buy the big issue you douche

  • Nicely put =]

  • well sorry if i don't tend to go into town or places where they sell it and I'm only 14 i don't tend to have much money.

I only wanted a god damn link.

  • i live down in Brighton and i went to see you supporting hard-fi and you guys were better. Your fuckin great !!! Mr .music Man was the best when you back down in brighton or the O2?

  • Im from near manchester/liverpool (newton-le-willows), i heard about this band on radio 1, i love em tbh, not the greatest thing ever, but i would say its probably a good evolutionary path for punk although not the best.

  • why is there a verse missing in this vid theres an extra verse on the album

  • Gigabuxing on fools like these is a science.

    Hahahaha!!!

  • this song is awshum (:

  • why is there so much negativity about king blues?!

    they're fucking epic!

  • Love the vid and the new album. Props

  • i think they are great. looking forward to seeing them =)

  • I really dislike the new album, but loved the old one - the new one has the same message, which is good, but i wouldn't say the lyrics are incredibly well written and just doesn't do it for me musically. The live shows are still great though, can't fault them at all. Got alot of respect for these guys.

  • Speaking of 'well written', you should use shift + i to make 'I'.

  • sorrry, next time i'l make a little mor effort.

  • being popular doesnt mean you've sold out. And anyway the message these guys are trying to put across would be pointless if no-one could hear it, so im all for em being on radio 1 etc

  • i dont know why people are complaining, they arent even THAT popular. nobody up here in manchester knows who they are

  • Im from Manchester i know about the king blues for ages so people up in manc do know who they are and they are popular

    :)

  • of course they've changed

    every band changes

    i would do the same

all that matters is that the same undertone stil goes through the music, the same message!

sure the music isnt as "aggressive" but still, listen to "what if punk never happened" and tell me that thats not political.

loving the king blues new stuff just as much as the old stuff

    peace

  • yeah man, i hate listening to non-stop loud aggresive music anyway. good happy melody here..

  • hah fruitbag is great :P peace AsboDisco

  • the best song on what is the best album of last year. may 2009 be the king blues year.

  • gone to uni in aberdeen and all i can say is coming from leeds the scene isnt big here at all and yet these guys come out and perform in the market place infront of about 10-12 people, sell outs? I dont think so, couldn't have shown more appreciation for the fans, free too ^^/

  • Leeds has an amazing music scene.

Im proud to say im from Leeds, id stay here just for the music.

& this song in immense :)

everyone saying they've changed can get fucked, everyone changes, else we'd all still be wearing loin cloths hitting mammoths with clubs.

    peace x

  • i agree with alot of what people are saying on this post.

i fell out of the underground punk scene a long time ago, still listened to stuff but didnt get my head in it as much as i used to so i missed alot of what was going down.

But if you guys say theyve sold out i couldnt care, id rather everyone was listening to a band who can actually play and have a message to put across than watching x fucktar

  • well ive seen sonic boom six, and they dont have shit on the king blues, lyrically and musically these guys are talented.

  • such a nice song about hanging someone

  • This band is awesome! I've been thinking that there needs to be a sound that appeals to a wider audience but still retains that true punk spirit and I think these guys have got it right. Alot of people would never take notice of alot of bands like Discharge or Leftover Crack or whatever because their sound is so anti-social and thus they wouldn't hear what they have to say. Punk has so much potential to unite and spur people into action and I think bands like this can only help the cause.

  • Well said... perfect

  • who cares about whether anyone has "sold out" or "become mainstream" or any of that rubbish.

if you like it listen to it

if you dont like, dont listen.

    simple really.

i fucking love the king blues! woop woop! :)

  • ve known the whiteshirt(Jamie) for years and all he ever had in mind wass playing music regardless of money or fame. Granted when you start a band you want to make it big, been there done that got a t-shirt. Stop the fucking hatred n the sellout talk. Its so fucking obviuos its based on jealousy its rediculous. They made it, you didnt, i didnt, swallow and enjoy. Itch, great lyrics mate, glad to hear that a fucked up upbringing can blossom into something magnificent. Inspirational that is.

  • sonic boom six piss all over the king blues, sb6 are way better live

  • Sonic Boom Six are the best band in excistence.

    Ever.

But you have to admit, King Blues come close

And they are still actually AMAZING live !

  • what i nice way of saying your clearly a complete and utter tit. Listen to MUSIC more often sad act.

  • Sorry, that comment was for dragonskankin, tosser

  • oh sorry i was too busy listening to hub city stompers and propagandhi, i have stopped talking shit about the king blues so stop talking shit about me please

  • its much more personal music thats why, if you listen to the lrics there genius.

  • LOL Who let there dad play bongos!!!!

I used to be in this band and its so good to see them doing so well and there songs are as good as ever (even if i am not writing them haha)so hush your gums

As for selling out they aint changed there music there just getting paid for it!

  • not sellouts just not writing the same quality material, which is a shame.

  • They are! LISTEN TO IT, ITS NOTHING DIFFERENT TO WHAT THEY WERE DOING 2 FUCKING YEARS AGO. SAME STYLE LYRICS, SAME ANTHEMIC SONGS, SAME FEEL GOOD QUALITY, STILL AMAZING LIVE SHOWS, STILL THE SAME KIND OF MUSIC THAT CAN APPEAL TO ANYONE. They haven't change a single fucking bit. Just because they may not write a song with an off beat guitar and a ska rhythm drumbeat it doesnt make them sound any different. From what ive heard, this album is sounding as good as the last.

  • just because they're getting bigger doesn't mean they're sell outs

it's not like they can help it if they're getting a lot of fans and make money from it, I'm sure they're not complaining but at the end of the day if you've listened to them properly, and seen them live and heard what they talk about, you'll know that they're not sell outs and that there actually is an aim to their music.

    end.

  • why does it block the swearing out?

and you cant really call king blues punk anymore this music is commerical compared to older stuff and back in the days when they were doing the london squat circuit.

  • To be honest, The King Blues have always appealed to the mass. and you should be thankful they are appealing to the mass and spreading a message, or would you rather have another boy band in the charts?

Thing is there trying, are you? No. Well, theres your argument pretty much fizzled out.

  • Lol, ignorance.

  • lol, your face

gonna see them in nov ! yesssssss

  • who cares wot type of music they play we can all say that we agree on 1 fing they r great!and pple stop comparing them to other bands most bands are inspired by each other anyway and regardless of that the king blues are doin their own thing stop comparin!!!

  • stop comparing them to other bands?

What about Ginger Tom and The Gadjits?

They are the original kind blues.

  • The King Blues are punk no matter what you say.

  • sikkkk video!!!

  • hmmmm i think dragonskankin sucks cock

  • I think people love to disown bands when they have a certain level of success. largely because most people believe there is nowt cooler than dismissing the flavour of the week as old news. well, as far as im concerned, for people with that attitude, there is more room and king blues shows for me.

I first discovered the king blues almost 3 years ago and have seen them 30 odd times and they've played in my living room so dont try to claim they've alienated old fans.

  • yeah and my living room is the 02 arena

  • what?

    sorry, what?

the o2 arena is very big and is nobodies living room, and besides they have not played there.

my living room is in a semi-detached house in croydon. they have payed there.

hope that clears things up for you.

  • payed there? payed what, to glow in the bask of your ego? and thanks for letting me know that the 02 arena is big and nobodies living room, wasn't too sure about that but now i can sleep easy knowing no-one sits and reads the paper in it after work

  • thanks for pointing out that i missed a letter, i clearly cant spell, thus qualifying your argument.

or maybe you just lack a valid point.

My point was never ego related, i don't see how having a small band play in your living room is any form of ego boost, my point was that having been a fan from their living room days, i dont find the new stuff offensively different enough to turn me off.

  • of course i dont have a valid point im arguing on the internet

  • i love the king blues and al of there music

  • it might be cause of the strings but they sound a bit like flogging molly in this song.

i don't mind it though it's just not really the same style.

  • absolutely one of the best bands i have seen live

    kicked arse at leeds :>

  • damn right

  • All this talk about the King Blues becoming more mainstream I personally am happy for them the thing with bands who spend there careers on the underground scene is that they fade away but I think the King Blues are good enough to be around for a while and they deserve it because they are all about the music and there message

  • so did lightyear but they werent comercial enough lightyear were and always will be the best uk ska-punk band ever

  • lightyear, although good live made album long songs and then "split them up" into different names..

in other words, it all sounds the same and not in a good way :)

  • goldfinger have always been more pop/punk than ska...and they still do do the odd ska number...and when i saw them live half their set was ska! LTJ did drop the ska...but they started off as a 3-piece punk band anyway and they still play a lot of ska numbers in their live sets...last time i saw them they played more ska than not!

  • SELLOUTs?

Music is a passion for many. Unfortunately there isnt much money in music. King blues to me seems love what they do.

Ive seen many great bands just disappear out of the underground because of financial problems.

Theirs two ways in this..letting the system use you. and using the system yourself

The king blues seems to me are doing the latter.

They are taking all the benefits from the major labal record and still spreading their great message.. dont see nothing wrong with that.

  • i love the king blues all im saying is that pretty much every band with the exception of sublime who went major created music that didnt have as much depth its not being succesfull that bothers me its the influence and control a major label has over a band there image and there output they control and mold into a product they can sell listen to the two against me cds for proof i havent heard the new album so i wont pass judgement on them i must say that i find myself questioning there motives

  • I've heard the new album. If anything it has more depth than the first. the tunes are written better and there is probably more passion.

They haven't let any mild success change them as people, they still come out and support their scene, if they are the same people i dont see why the music will be any less deep.

  • lies, lies and slander!!

  • It isn't as good as king blues have been, but this is a lot better than the other stuff I've heard off this album.

but that was live so ill wait and see, i like this song anyway.

  • It's pretty raw, especially lyrically. And it's very good.

  • fuck you man

  • i love this band and love this song, cant wait to see you guys at reading!!!

  • what the, rip off dead kennedys. itch, you have changed from the days where you rode on my shoulders

  • Have you ever listened to dead kennedys?!?!?

  • cos the title has the word landlord in it? fuck you and sort ur shit out, u fucking tool

  • dude...have you even listen to anything by the dead kennedys????

  • Sounds like rancid, looks like the hoosiers. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing, also, what's with the bongo in the chorus?

  • FUCK YOU

    GO DIE

  • fuck yourself

  • i agree!

play with the ramblers again :]

    love the new video

  • This tune is Mad!! Love it! King Blues youre just getting better! Play with the Ramblers again.

  • Incredible song and the video isn't half bad!

    Love the King Blues!

  • operationivy2007 how are they full of shit?? and whats the point of being in a band and NOT trying to be big!!??

  • best band in the world:)

  • the king blues are quite possibly the nicest people ive ever met. awesome live band. as far as the comment about them trying to be big,im gunna be polite and just say i disagree.

  • the song and video both fucking suck

i wish they were still good wen they werent full of shit an tryin so fucking hard to be big

  • there not tryina get big to make money though. there starting to get attention from more mainstream culture and there using it to there advantage, there still spreading the same message and the same idea, its just reaching more people this way.

n am sorry but it that a bad thing?

  • fuck you

  • Amazing song!!!

  • smart video! haha good job

  • AMAZING
