If you ever see this comment (or if anyone does), could you explain this comment about the expressions? Is this like Kabuki where all of the expressions are exaggerated? I see her moving her face around and looking a certain way... but if, say, she raised her eyebrows at the wrong moment, would people know that it was incorrect? Oh... and what is this dance about?

In our style of Bharatanatyam, unlike some others, the expressions are not exaggerated.

Although there are individual interpretations of abhinaya (expressions). But, of course, if she raised her eyebrows at the wrong moment, an expert would know that it was incorrect. Experssions can be adequate or inadequate, suitable or not very suitable.

when i first saw this, i thought it was an older woman, until i read she was eleven years old! oh my god, her articulate gestures, movements and wonderful facial expressions speak for themselves. it's a drama even without the music. wonderfully done, splendid to watch.
