監督の趣味なんだろうけど、BGMまでもがヒカシューというのが­気合入りすぎてて恐れ入りますｗ

話も音楽も大好きです　音楽は何度か聞いてるうちに好きになる感じです

　確かにはじめて聞いたときは何じゃこりゃ！　だったんだけど、物語本編が進むうち、この変OPが政治や個人の­思惑に翻弄される世界や主人公たちの情景とシンクロしてくるんで­しょうね。　もやもやの正体も在り処も何もかもがわからぬままに流され続けた­り、歩き続けたりしながら、皆が皆、願わなくとも終局へ近づいて­いく。破滅の美、というか。　オーガス1は観ていないのですが、１はたぶん主人公を好きになれ­ないと思うので２だけのファンでいいかなぁ、と。　わたくし、物語りもこの変OPもたまらなく好きでございます。

はじめてみた時、ストーリーからキャラから凄く衝撃を受けた記憶­がありました。1と比べてあまりにもかけ離れててｗｗ今では似た­ようなのがゴロゴロありまが・・・ｗ　opも大好きでとても癖になる曲でした＾＾これから何かが起こる­！！なんか期待させる感じがたまりませんｗ今では当時の監督さん­が亡くなられてと聞き、とても残念です；；

i had it from a store years ago on dvd but after getting a girlfriend then watch it at her place is 1ep go we break up still to ge friends. except she never meant that and after complaning and her threating to phone the police if i come to her house (overkill as this is her way of saying we arnt friends) so yes i loose the rarest dvd i own.

for some reason in the Japanese version of this anime all the episodes except the first and last episode have this opening theme. The first episode has the theme that is on all of the episodes for the english version. It's like that on the DVD anyway, if you switch to Japanese you get this but on the dub you get the other theme. I'm with you, the other theme is better.

Orguss 02 is an excellent anime. Enjoyed every minute of it, especially the link it makes with Japan's own wartime history.

I have the OVA with a different song however.

No continuity from the original series or have the same unpredictable drama that the first series had. The theme song is not as good as the original theme!

It's sort of a continuation of the original Orguss b/c that android who was a member of the crew was the only original character who appeared in this sequel. You're right about the music, but I still like both. What pissed me off about Orguss 2 was that it was too damned short.I loved the concept and complexed theme of it, but 6 episodes just weren't enough.

Thanks for your humble opinion, the animation is kick-ass but like all OVA (I can name them but I will run out of time) it begins and never finishes! But when sponsored by a t.v. network it will have a 50 ep. run and follow by sequals! The costume is very Nausica and seeing the characters you would not relate it to the original series. One day just one day they will finish th series!

Actually, I found Orguss 2 more like Escaflowne than Nausica. I agree the characters in the OVA sequel aren't as closely attached to us as their predecessors in the 80s Orguss series except for the android Taii. I was glad to see that Mu alive and well. However they do have that potential of being emotionally attached to us. Lean is my favorite character. He has potential. Naturama is another good one, but if Orguss 02 were a TV series instead of an OVA, they would've been fleshed out more.

I thought that the ending of the original series pretty much said all possibilities can an do happen and this series was just one possibility.
