I don't know if anyone else addressed this in the other comments, but for the personal booster. The White repeater go ON the windows, and the black antenna goes near your phone. Unlike what he explained
I recently got one, but it doesn't work right most of the time. I have the antenna outside of a bedroom window and the extender is in the hall between 2 bedrooms. During some calls, I lose complete signal until I go right next to the base unit. Other times the power light flashes and I have no signal, unplugged it, plug it back in and then it works. Not sure were else to put the base unit to get signal in both bedrooms. I figured the walls in the hallway don't help much.
That's always been the tricky part... The tech works (it's just a repeater) but positioning is so important and so SENSITIVE that it just won't be practical for some households.
Here's a tip I learned the hard way. If you "lose signal" but get it back when you cycle the power, it's because the unit is looping its own signal and shutting down. You want the antenna as high and AS FAR away from the unit as possible - They gave you a long cable, try to use it all.
Ok.... good to know. We're toying with the idea of possibly expanding the show, but covering more gadgets per episode, plus perhaps some current tech events. --- We've always planned to integrate 'gadget' into a longer production (That's why it's called 'gadget' (at) TheTechStop ) and perhaps we need to move in that direction.
Thanks for the input... We're really trying to find a balance between just showing off the gadgets and going in-depth. Hopefully we'll be able to resolve that conflict when we release our new shows. Peace, Fr. Robert
really good review

Excellent video as I'm thinking of buying the 510.
A couple of notes.
You would need a spectrum analyzer to measure signal strength that low on the antenna line, this type of feature would make the device very expensive.
The inside antenna on a window would not be effective as microwaves don't penetrate glass.

the thing i was going to say is, I will just buy the 800mhz (those are actually the only ones that work at my house)
