  • you are crazy in a good way, i was lathing too :) thumbs up !

  • foff

  • the hell is swinning?

  • ¿De que se rien?

    ¿Del grán nadador Mark Spitz?

Aún saliendo último ganó la primera medalla olímpica en natación de Munich.

  • Swinning? Change the title

  • that guy was slow than in lane 8 one more slow guy.

  • hahahaha rofl funny shit

  • That was 100m butterfly. Sorry, I forgot to mention it.

  • He is Roland Matthes, one of the greatest swimmers ever. He won 4 olympic gold medals in backstroke (1968 and 1972).

If he hadn't started so late he could have beaten Mark Spitz (he came in forth)!

That wasn't the first (nor the last) time he lost some important competitions in fanny ways, especially against friends.

Some commentators still think he did it on purpose.

If somebody wants to know some more about him just let me know.

He arguably was the most talented (and lazy) swimmer in history.

  • I have been wondering who this was for about a year. How do you know it is Roland Matthes? One of my friends says he does not think it is Matthes. We tried for awhile to research this since I discovered the same clip about a year ago. I'm fascinated to think I might be finding out who he was. I'm also fascinated that anyone else noticed this.

  • A few months ago I run into an interesting article about Roland Matthes (if you can read Italian let me know and I'll give you the address). The author said that Matthes , who was great at butterfly as well as at backstroke, could have beaten Mark Spitz at Monaco '72, but came in only forth in the final because he dived more than one second late.

  • True. I have since found the results on Google. He did get fourth in 55.87 I believe. Third was 55.7 something. But where did you hear that he might have done it intentionally? It does seem weird that someone so good could have such a horrible start . If he did it intentionally that would be huge news in terms of lessening the achievement of Spitz's 7 golds. Please let me know the source (if written) that claims it was on purpose.

  • are you people retarded? i didn't get the joke

  • @andresrojas22 He took off from the starting block REALLY LATE. There can be a slight difference but at Olympic level swimming he should be up with the rest of them. It's just really embarrassing.

    .

  • that is great!!!!!!!!

  • Add jibbah. Will party.
