I have crazy gear,crazy old school tr series,and the 909 is totally the past,over used,ect...how ever the MD is hot. The way I hook up my 909 though,the way I wire my 909,it comes out sounding like nothing you have ever heard before. It takes work and time to sculpt the right effects to its Multi outs. 909 still lives in the future people. That sound i speak of can never be recreated either

@jules909 Good stuff, just make sure that you buy the UW+drive model. If this is not the one that you have on order FIND the money and upgrade. The difference is massive and certainly worth the money. Have a mad time learning the MD, just have some samples ready, join the user group, be patient and turn off your phone. Within electronic music beats routinely form the foundation of killer tracks and so work on some inspirational beats and the rest will flow.

I will never sell mine.

909 is a sweet drum machine and it has it's analogue charm and all, but by todays standards it's very limited and hopelessly over-used, there's no competition between these two boxes.. I really like 606/808/909 and the likes but I would never buy one since they cost a ridiculous amount of money these days, I will however buy a MD since it can ba used for soooo much more.

Guarda, seguo la scena detroit techno da circa 11 anni. Chiaramente le situazioni techno si sono spostate in Germania e nord Europa.

Ti posso assicurare che a detroit ancora oggi fanno degli eventi che spaccano.

of course the 909 ist the winner if you like that sound. that dm works, you know what you get out of it, the possibilities are limited, it sounds great.. you really can´t compare all those machines. 808 909 md 888 999, they are just what they are, i´d never say this or that one is better. they are different and all very good in what they can do (i like 606,808,(md?) most for "my" music) the ? on MD cause it´s too! easy to get interesting sounds that have nothing to do with a dm

909 have good analog sound but nothing else and was used in 90% of every dance album, actually the sound is old.

Machinedrum have used one kit not good for comparison, Sps1 have a real range of sound and synthesis the sound is less powerful than 909 but with sps 1 you can change your sound the 909 remain the same of latest 20 years

You no need thousands of sounds to make a great groove. just a smart idea and good gear.

Machinedrum is absolutely cool, but not as 909 is.
