  • this taking the villain from a martial arts movie and making him the hero in a sequel is a neat idea. A villain cannot be reused as a villain (kickboxer 2 sucks) because they have been proven to not be unbeatable. However there is no literary rule requiring the HERO of a movie to be unbeaten, they are SUPPOSED to be the underdog. Another villain who could be made a hero in a spinoff is PRICE from Blood and Bone and Johnny Laurence from Karate kid, even DRago from rocky 4 would work as such.
