  • In the video Billy clearly capos the 3rd fret, not the 5th. The main chords are D,A,Bm,G with the capo on the 3rd fret. But same sound anyways....

  • @whiteshadowtx Thanks I like this, too

  • he said DAMNED if i know haha. but you should take singing lessons, you have the talent, you just dont use it that well

  • I love your voice! You should sing in all your videos dude!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice vid bro... one of the best on this song!

  • can you play this without a capo?

  • could you say the strumming pattern any faster? no one can understand it. try typing it out please

  • @umterpzfan89 Strumminn ' patttern : DDDUDUDDU ( :

  • would it be any different if u use the c add nine

  • hey is it possible that u could type out the strumming pattern for the song people are crazy because in the video u go to fast for anyone to understand..... Thanks

  • @johnnymash1997 He gives you two strum patterns that are similar: D D DU DU D DU and D D DU UDU D DU

  • Just type it fatty

  • NIce job, but I think you're making the intro a lot more difficult than it needs to be as the whole thing can be played off a C chord. Check it out; you're starting off by playing the B string on the 5th fret which is just an open E (so if you're going to do it your way just play the open E) and then you slide down to the 3rd fret of the B string which is wear it sits in the C chord position and so on. It's all there for you with the C chord.

  • @gally042

I know you give the strum pattern in the video but its hard to pick up just by listening do you think you could write it out? I'd be soo grateful! I love your videos they really have been helping me learn guitar. thanks so much!

  • bad, what if some people didnt know the chords? and you did the strum pattern wrong

  • what is the strum pattern because you play it different then you're saying it.

  • what is the strum pattern because you play it different then you're saying it.

  • thanks this is a great song and its not hard to play either! keep up the lessons!

  • this is a request how about a lesson on every reason not to go by billy currington pls

  • i like how you changed the lyrics "I dont smoke cigarettes..." haha classic

  • hey bro, thanks for the help!!! but could you do a listen on don't by billy currington??

  • can someone please type out the srtum pattern?(some just want to make sure im getting right)

  • I play on Capo 3 and use D-A-Bm-G it is a lot easier on the intro you can just pick the chords D and A using the same notes on each to get that sound. sounds fuller and i think that is how he plays it. stops the intro riff from sounding as if it is the lead missing some rythym

  • @killabeez1988z I play it the same way on my youtube video.

  • Also, how do you make the f chord. i don't understand

  • For the G chord. Do do you have the ring finger on the bottom fret or one up?

  • great vid, thank you very much.

  • Does anyone have skype so they can help me with this if u do send me a message

  • this was really great. Thanks so much

  • this was great. Thank you so much

  • can u make a tutorial for "good directions" by billy currington?

  • Outstanding Dude!!!!

  • Thanks man. Great song that I've been wanting to learn. Very helpful.

  • capo the 3rd fret and play in D...you can play the intro and strum or finger pick at the same time... D- A- G- Bm....sounds so much cooler...another chord in there somewhere...lol...work in progress...just thought I'd share....

  • Thank you so much been trying to get the intro and chorus down for a month thanks!!!!!!!! and great playing!

  • thanks man, bigg help on the intro, i don't quite understand chords yet but thanks!

  • The pattern is D-D-D-UDUD-DU then D-D-DU-UDUD-DU

  • You're so helpful! thank you

  • its grate dode but dont you thankit be easyer to capo it in a diffrent way to were you dont have to use bar cords

  • beginner at guitar, have no problem with the chords, just wish you would address the strumming pattern. Hard for me to pick up.

  • yeah he's saying it too fast. Aaron could you just reply to tell us the strumming pattern? please?

  • I went to his website and he explained more about strumming patterns. Very good website!

  • yo dude you know that a standard F chord works alil better for the progression from Am. it is just like a C major but you fret the high E string on the first along with the B so it looks like this.......OO3211.... easier to play for beginners and it sounds close to the same.

  • awesome thanks so much!! u were great!!

  • You are awesome. Can you post a video for sissy's song by AJ?

  • dude i think your cords are off i have a print out from ultimate guiar and there is no f or c any where in the song its all a g d em and bm for the most part. but i have no clue could be a misprint there. thans for the strumming pattern and into could not find that.

  • it goes capo 3 and it is pretty much D A Bm C

  • lol another great song by another great singer... i love this song!!! thankz!!

  • About switching from Am to F i find it way easy to switch your middle and ring finger when playing the Am then when you go to F you can just leave your middle finger where it is and just put the bar and move up your ring and pinky so your middle finger doesnt even have to move :) nice video lessons btw :)

  • the intro was great but i could'nt really see how you you played the A minor?

    but thanks tho!

  • you can google Am chord

  • i cant get past the intro, but very very lovely! haha, thanks for this!!!! :)

maybe oneeee day i'll get a lil further. but beautiful song. youure awesome.

  • glad to help! you can skip the intro and just play the other parts
