The high heels need to have an ankle strap and rubber or suede soles.

You can have a shoe repair shop customize your favorite shoes to accommodate you. You can add tap plates, or elastic, or ball of the foot cushions, anything that helps protect you.

@thecapricorn94 You've seen what she considers to be "advanced", right? I don't think anything more complicated than small kick with a ball change is on the menu. lol! ;)

In response to the video, I've danced for more than 20 years, and I have never worn such a ridiculous and dangerous shoe to perform. I'd even avoid those for ballroom styles. It's shocking that Kelly Anne is potentially sending out young dancers to perform in those death traps. :(

@thecapricorn94 Ok melodramatic? Yes, choose the appropriate footwear for your role. I love dance sneakers with extra inserts, I buy them 1/2 size larger, and only 1/2 inch sole...

Musical theater type jazz (think "Chicago") might wear those shoes, but not regular jazz.

"advanced" jazz technique because they were funny and all completely incorrect. then i see this video and im like, ok, at least you cant go wrong with jazz shoes.

@laauuura I have a wall of shoes, in face a 10,000$ wardrobe.  People have their own preferences, unless you try something, how will you know if it works for you or hinders?
