  • This country now has an Idealist President. ENFP Champion Idealist: the first president in history to be an idealist. Thoughts?

  • @Aner327 Bush with better rhetoric. NF's should not be in positions where they are in charge of a situation that requires choosing the best idea to use, or where people will disapprove if they make tough, but good decisions. They should keep their hands- that are usually slathered in ridiculous plans for a socialist utopia OFF the real world. Mind you, I'm not willing to accept that obama's an ENFP yet. He PLAYS one, but he could be a good actor. Or a psychopath. Wouldn't shock me.

  • @samm1809 - - I appreciate what you said: All temparements have weaknesses when it comes to being in leadership, I'm sure you would agree; and being an Idealist myself, I see those weaknesses pointedly. :/

  • @Aner327 Now I while I dod not take typing to serious I have heard Obama is today seen as ENTP or INTJ but most likely ENTP.

Now if america has ever hade a NF leader depends on if one seees Bill Clinton as ESFP as Keirsey some do does or ENFP as others do.

  • @Aner327 On the other hand either way NF leaders have existed in other nations. Gorbachev and Nelson Mandela and depending on if one sees him as leader Gandhi and even Tony Blair I have heard should be well known. Of American politicans Ron Paul is an example I know he is INFJ( Counsler).

  • @Eopyk well known to Americans *

  • @samm1809 Now I do not take this typing stuff to serious but I will say

Obama these days have been called by MBTI experts ENTP or INTJ the idea of him being NF is long gone I would say he is ENTP.

So acording to you all NF are marxist utopians ? Well economic right wing Ron Paul is INFJ. At least if I check a list example of NF leaders or politicans are Nelson Mandela, Gorbachev, Tony Blair, Gandhi, Then there are some that I could possibly see as one.

  • @Eopyk No. that's why I said USUALLY. Gandhi wasn't a politician, which is what i'm talking about. Tony Blair is definitely an NT, probably E/INTJ. Ron Paul MAYBE INFJ, but if so then he uses his Ti for decisions and Fe only for morale and interpersonal matters. He can make the tough rational decisions when he needs to. And how well did Gorbachev and Mandela do? Both Soviet Russia and South Africa are or were horrible places. I know Obama probably isn't ENFP.

  • @samm1809 Mandela hade to clean up from the mess of apartheid and he managed to keep a country close to civile war together and feeling no sense of revenge even after years in prison. Gorbachev managed to give the USSR citizen more freedom of speech and civile libertities while he was fighting Keirseys terms a bunch of guardians. He started the begin of the end of the USSR and started a democratization procces. Both of that are quite admerible.

  • @Eopyk Also Ray obviously agrees with my general analysis, as you can tell in the very last thing that he says in the video. Idealists would and do try to force cooperation from a naturally competitive being, which is why the competitive market is the natural state of things rather than several small scale communities built on solidarity. It just doesn't work. That's why the hippies of the 60's and 70's were the yuppies of the 80's. The hippies were COMPETING with the current state of things.

  • @samm1809 Humans are both compitetive and cooperative. In fact without cooperation we would have gone exitinct as modern reasearch show.

And how cooperatuve or competive depends on the current circumstans for the individuals.

I have seen Blair typed as ENFJ personaly I think you may be right.

    All respect
