what was the reason for the cancellation and why didn't you look up your flight information PRIOR to going to the airport? as a responsible traveler it'd probably be a good idea to check to see if your flight is on-time BEFORE you have to spend extra time in the airport. I've had canceled flights before without notification but I always ended up on a different flight with no problems because I was pro-active with how I plan for my flights. Maybe it's because I fly a lot:-/
I got stranded 12 hours because my CONTINENTAL flight left 10 mins early and left 7 people behind. I was suspost to arrive at Portland, Maine at 10:10 A.M. I got their at 9:00 P.M. I was at Newark, NJ. for 12 HRS.
CONTINENTAL IS FAR WORSE THAT US AIRWAYS. I'll TAKE US AIRWAYS ANY DAY OVER ANY CONTINENTAL FLIGHT! I'LL PLAY MORE, FLY OUT OF MY WAY, AND EVEN WAIT FOR A LATER FLIGHT JUST TO AVOID CONTINENTAL!!!!!
Stop bickering. You know what Airline sucks? US Airways! Look up "US Airways Sucks" on youtube theres tons of reasons why. Fly WestJet or SoulthWest or even AmericanAirlines! They all treat you really well.
@himynameispaolo haha let's see, they canceled our flight 2 days before and did not notify us, then we were stranded in a city that we don't even know, told us that they couldn't get us on another flight until 5 days after and pretty much told us to take a bus to our destination. On our way back our flight was delayed and the money that they said was going to be refunded is nowhere to be seen.
@azul7 well, maybe as a passenger, you should be proactive and check the status of your flight BEFORE you leave for the airport so you can reschedule. That's what I did when US AIRWAYS cancelled my flight and didn't notify me and because of that, I was rebooked on another airline (DELTA) in first class
@himynameispaolo Everytime time we asked for information, different staff members had a different answer and often contradicted each other. I understand that crap happens and that they can't controlled the weather, but they could have at least informed us about our flights being canceled.
