Shania Twain is fantastic, and i think she will be back with new music. There has been a long time since the last cd, but she is doing fine now after the divorce.
And if you searc "sneak peak Shania Twain" here on youtube, you will see that she will reclaim her motivation.
Shania started young adulthood struggling to take care of her siblings and she was encouraged by her family to perform and sing. She went through a lot and has slowly transformed herself into a great success. For herself. No matter what field in life we are in, whether you're a singer or a welder, you always improve your skills but it takes time. So it doesn't matter what she began with or what she recorded or not, she's come a long way to where she is now. I'm proud of her.
Her 1st album was so much more country than those that followed. She was a part of the invasion from canada. She was a part of Michelle Wright, Lisa Brokop group.
She didnt write one song on her first album dude......she got mad at Nashville and ran off to Europe to marry Mutt.......who just happened to promise her that her songs would be on her albums in the future.....and he kept his promise to her.........
@jmallton Shania married at her former resort job in Canada, moved to Upstate NY and a few years later moved to Europe. He did promise Shania that her songs would get on her album no matter what.
@soniakiwi I love Shania...but lets call a spade a spade....she knew what she wanted out of Mutt and she got exactly what she wanted.....everybody always wondered what the beautiful Shania was doing with the homely Mutt.....Mutt provided her the opportunity to be famous and she loved that.....now that he is gone....she is not making music and is scheduled to do some shitty tv show on Oprah channel
@jmallton Yea I know. I was just clarifying. I didn't mention anything about her intentions. Since you did I think that this is public knowledge unless you are a die hard fan and think she's an angel sent down from above. I hope she finds it within to make new music. Fame, money and Mutt took the fire that put her on the map to begin with. In some ways this is worse than the people who get complacent with their fame and sing the same kind of music. Three hit albums and poof- she's gone!
@soniakiwi She is gorgeous still.....but she is aging and time is running out....I really wish she would keep making music....I think this Oprah channel show will be a bust
@jmallton You're right, she's pretty good looking for 44. I've seen some celebs that at 44 they look trashed or had multiple surgeries, but good genes only take you so far. The Oprah show will only go well if she releases music. People won't find the point in watching her post divorce sob/inspirational story unless there's music to back it up with. My concern is the wait for new music (9 yrs in 2011) may not as worth it as expected. She has an age gap to fill with the new talent out there.
@soniakiwi The new kids arent going to dig her................her loyal fans will but I think you can forget about her selling multiple millions in records.....too bad because she was rapidlly moving up the all-time female list of top entertainers ever....if she had released 2 or 3 albums in the last 6 years she would probably be number 6 or 7 all time
@jmallton Good music transcends age; kids listen to Ozzy and Pink Floyd. The way her new music is marketed could make or break her. In pop the 80s synth heavy sound, Lady Gaga, club music hip-hop and slow R&B is hot. Madonna's not being played much these days and she was one of the few best selling 40+ artists. AC music's been dead for a while. Shania has a better chance of selling if she sings country or rock and signs with LiveNation. Maybe she wasn't chasing numbers after all when she quit.
