I like Viola but they made the right choice--Top Model usually involves commercials with speaking parts and Viola struggles. She will do well in runway or print ads, though.

if you freeze at 2:14 you can see each model and her figure...mecia looks untoned and chunky (far right) then jade who looks great (although we know shes a little too thin), viola has big thighs and poor definition, ashley looks just like a girl you'd walk by at the shops and sophie has god awful bowed legs...funnily enough none of them -except maybe jade- looks like model material.

Why is the main language in Argentina spanish and the main one in Brazil portuguese? I honestly thought that the main language or languages in all the South American countries were all the same. I'm probably wrong though

The judges really railed against Viola for "giving up" and being dismissive of the challenge, but none of the actual footage from the shoot suggested that she behaved that way. All I saw was a girl who kept trying but just couldn't get it right, and was in tears when the director finally gave up on her.

The judges and the girls are sooo mean to Viola. Yes she may appear aloof but she is a non native English speaker. She probably finds it hard to socialise with the girls and her accent may make her feel selfconscious. Especially when everyone picks on her. I dont find her very pretty in person but her photos do look great. Plus who really wants to associate with the other girls anyway, they are all immature twits!

Jade looks as scrawny and anorexic looking as Alice Burdeu. At least Jade admitted to starving herself. I didn't think she looked beautiful at all. I was looking for an aid package to fall from the sky.

Jade and Viola both have things working against them. Jade has her weight working against her might not book jobs b/c she's too skinny & might not fill out the clothing. But, she can change that &is in the process of doing so. She can also get a nutritional therapist to help her out.

Viola on the other hand...I think she's BEAUTIFUL! But...I don't think she'd be able to book jobs on account of her personality and shyness. It'll take some time for her to find herself which I truly hope for.

I think a large part of viola's shyness is the language barrier, she has a hard time catching what people are saying when they are speaking plain and this is a show with lots of cryptic speeches, innuendo and word play and half the time she doesn't know what is expected of her and she is winging it. That IS something she can work on and in Paris or Italy (real fashion capitals) she would have an advantage over the unilingual girls who have no experience in those situations.

That's a good thing! They're actually doing her a favor if she wants to live the life of a professional model. I've spent a lot of time in the NYC modeling world and believe me...the judges aren't being hard enough on her (or any of the girls for that matter). Those girls need some serious preparation before they're plunged into the real modeling world.
