  • Good video, breaking each part down into layman's terms instead of jargon

  • when im hooking up my new stereo i found out dat my car has extra wiring for the harness where do i put that extra wiring at. i have a 2005 chevy impala

  • @6Williams4 I think you asked a question, but I only see periods. I think you placed one after your question, in effect making it a statement. I also see the word "dat". For these reasons, I'm less inclined to want to answer you with a relevant, helpful comment.

  • @purnotnoob very professional of you to judge people by there grammar!

  • hi i have two sterios with out harneses i havnt been able to get harnesses so i was told i was able to just hook it up with out a harness am i able to wire new wire straight to the probs on the bk of the sterio. how would i find power constant power and earth. please if u can help that will be great

  • @guvnuckle1 kool from experiance i remember for most head units the ground is black remote is blue power is yellow and constant is red thats it tell me if it helped

  • This cat has the charisma of a block of wood.

  • How about soundstream power plant?

  • How about soundstream powerplant?

  • does anyone know of any videos that involve car sterio wiring for older cars????1980 and older.....

  • Really helpfull, Thanks!!

  • Most new vehicles rely on the factory radio and will not work very well for a nice system.

  • u r 20 in this buisnes..but u r steel not electronic and know not much about car audio;)...

u know just this what u read on the products labels that why u r idiot man;)

  • hey I am sorry this video doesn't tell you what you want it is

just basic information for somebody who doesn't know how to

build a basic system if you want more technical info just ask

& maybe you will find out I know more than you think

  • I have a question hopefully you can give me some help.. I want to install a deck to be used in my garage like the have in displays at a stereo shop. What do i need to make that happen. thanks in advance.

  • @portugal82 Sure I would be happy to help. the best way would be to buy an AC to

DC inverter 50 amps should be more than adequate I probably would not go below

25 amps then you would need a car stereo & I would recommend 6x9's in boxes

or even more elaborate with amps & subs if you want if so just ask however if you

decide you want the more elaborate system you will want a bigger AC to DC inverter sorry it took me so long to respond

  • @rottie11000 Can i get this inverter anywhere? and how would i supply power to subs if i decide to use some? thanks in advance.

  • @portugal82 I don't usually recommend the internet but it will probably be your best

choice with several options. as far as adding a sub to your system you will need an

amplifier, also I would buy a stereo with sub level control so that you can control the

volume of your subs independent of your other speakers, but remember if you are

going to add an amp you will need a bigger inverter probably around 150 AMPS

  • when i wired up my head unit the truck didnt have any wire to connect the wire that holds the head units memory. what can i wire that into to keep my head unit holding memory

  • the right way to do it would be to use a digital volt meter &

find which wire in the radio harness has 12 v power even

when the key is off if you can't find one then it is best to locate

one in the factory fuse box or as a last resort probe wiring under dash for a wire that has power when key is off

  • This video gets a low mark from me too. It has good information-but when searching for wiring harness adapter installs-this video comes up with all sorts of talking points about amplifiers.

Kinda not was "advertised" in the video name.

  • this video would be so much more helpful if someone would be ina car doing hands on work 1 star=[

  • Hi, My car speakers suddenly stopped working while I was driving .... The stereo still gets power but the speakers do not output any sound. Might it be a lose connection?I checked the fuse element and it seems intact (Although I could not remove the fuse from its location - they are probably jammed)

  • There are a few things that could have caused your problem.

you could have a speaker that has gone bad the best way is

to use a digital meter put in the impedance position which resembles a horse shoe & test all of the outputs from deck

they should all be at aprox 4 ohms if one or more isn't then

unhook them from the deck or amp if the other speakers play now then you have found your prob or another way is to hook up a spkr that you know is good to each output on deck or amp if spkr plays thn

  • you know which spkr is bad also make sure none of the wiring

or connections are touching metal this could also make spkrs

    stop playing.

  • thx for the help i was wondering how to run two amps because i just got a amp and subs and now i cant hear the other speakers thanks agin

  • make your own video fuckstick

  • man this guy knows his stuff

  • what if ur cars wiring is cut with out the harness

  • How are you able to run a single remote wire from the head unit to multiple accessories such as additional amplifiers, power caps, Audiocontrol Crossovers, and etc.?

  • u can bridge it.......or wrap around remote wire 4rm yur car fuses

  • If the load on the remote wire is going to be larger than 500mA, you'll want to use a relay.

  • cool :)
