It is highly uncientific to believe that the universe came about at random. That has nothing to do with a "book written by bronze age man." Albert Einstein for example stated that behind the universe there must be an intelligent creator. The probability that the universe came about at random is zero. You can't just do away with religion. Time and time again throughout history, society has realized that they need some form of social guidance so the entire world doesn't go to waste with the recklessness that has sprung about from a lack of it. The cycle will continue on...its human nature in its purest form.

I attended a church nearby where I live a couple of times since we talked. unfortunately I wasn't able to go to the NY church because it was a lot farther than I originally thought. I went to the church and opened my eyes like you said, and the outcome I received was the same as always. I had no spark or belief in Rev. Sunmyung's teachings.
