You must be careful of what you're saying. you call division symbol as multiplication which is wrong.

i dont get in number 3. how 2.3 = 2x3? isnt it 5+2.3=7.3? someone please help

the dot (*) in math is used to multiply and it is not a decimal

multiply = 2 * 3

decimal = 2 . 3

I would like to know how this information is applied to everyday life. how is it used, what kind of real life problems does can you solve with algebra? It just seems so out of context to me.

computer stuff is all about algebra and logic. you may not see it, but for almost every damn page in the internet has something to do with numbers an variables. For examples, databases are all about variables.

i passed my intro classes in 8th grade but that was it for me. sitting here 30 yrs later watching, learning and enjoying myself. a teacher such as this gentleman who enjoys teaching and makes it interesting is what i needed. thanks.
