I used to go out with a real ‘horsey’ girl. At first I thought it was quite cute- I would watch her riding & jumping at weekend events, & the gear she wore (jodhpurs, crop etc) served as a good aphrodisiac.
However, things soon got a bit weird & I had to split up with her- more & more time was spent with her ‘other half’. Eventually she tried to persuade me to wear a horses-head mask (complete with reins & bit for my mouth) for lovemaking purposes. This freaked me out & I ran out the house.
If im going to watch this its because I want to see what the rider is doing and I can't do that when you change color, or flash the screen or any of that...I didnt like it

You just be that. Horses are extremely good at connecting that way. I didn't believe my trainer when I was a girl, but she was right. Anything that goes wrong is NEVER the horse's fault.
i am a barrel racer so personally i am not a fan of english. But i do believe that you have to have an amazing bond with your horse to ba able to jump. this kind of jumping just blows my mind. and i give anyone who jumps a congratulations on being able to do this.
@aliguida1 it is fantastic, you should try it I am a Western and English rider and it just teaches you so much instead of doing one of the other I fully reccomend it, plus the thrill of jumping matches and almost over powers the feel of going round a barrel :)

@NikkyBrooks13 It's a partnership, and good horseback rider know's the difference. You can spend 50 large on a horse and put someone who thinks they can control it on it and the $5000 horse with the rider who works with he/she will be better. There are many people in the equestrian community, but not all of them should be there.
honestly, I don't have any problem with jumping, I love jumping, but I don't get why people have to jump THIS HIGH I mean why do the horses had to jump higher than their own body size??? Otherwise good video

The one thing I can't stand about some professional show jumpers is their inability to keep themselves from falling all over the horses neck when landing, but jumping is amazing.

People in my class think riding isnt a sport.... HAH they're wrong... late last yr i was thrown into a tree... i've competed locally for 2 years now.... BELIEVE ME IT'S A SPORT!!! There is NO sport out there that gives you the thrill of jumping, the connection between your partner (your horse), The blast of speed in the sport of rodeo, and the rush of the speed in Cross Country... There Is NO Sport Like IT!!!!

Alright I'm confused here now I must say I believe that I jump pretty high at 4' and I don't plan on going too much higher but these horses are very collected and I mean very. Does it help in getting over those jumps or what? Because I don't train my horses to be very collected and they get over 4' with ease does it really make all that much of a difference?
@Person2476 flatwork and softness is the bases of every discipline. the horses are rounded because it keeps them supple and soft, and in check aswell. if the horse was to go around with its head up (in which theres NO problem with that) some riders feel the horse getting out of control. these riders have their horses collected because it keeps them reminded that the rider is boss :)
horse riding is a blast and people who say its not a sport r lazy, scared,and jerks about riding ive been riding since i was 10 and now im 19!!! and im not even that good
I honestly don't understand peoples' obsessions with watching other people chase a ball around. How can that even compare to horse riding??! I guess most people don't understand how much you really do when you're riding a horse :/

Alright I'm confused here now I must say I believe that I jump pretty high at 4' and I don't plan on going too much higher but these horses are very collected and I mean very. Does it help in getting over those jumps or what? Because I don't train my horses to be very collected and they get over 4' with ease does it really make all that much of a difference?

@Person2476 flatwork and softness is the bases of every discipline. the horses are rounded because it keeps them supple and soft, and in check aswell. if the horse was to go around with its head up (in which theres NO problem with that) some riders feel the horse getting out of control. these riders have their horses collected because it keeps them reminded that the rider is boss :)

@loveponies12 haha LOL u probably dont know how to mount and its helen whitaker. i know them all personally and they have no clue who u r, you arent anywhere close to knowing how to ride cos you cant :) im 12 and can jump 6ft the whitakers are finding me a pony so dont even try lying, when i get my new pony ill put loads on!
