Seriously it plays like GTAIII on GAMEBOY ADVANCE. Still boggles my mind... I only wish the perspective lines on the road ect weren't all skewed when viewed from an angle. If just a little more effort was put into this, it could have been one of, if not THE most memorable GBA title ever.

Should have used a 2d physics engine, it would have worked much better... (So, they react realistically in 2 dimensions, but you can't get above other cars.)

see, the GBA can do a 3D open world GTA Style game, but Rockstar made CTW top down. I dont know why they didnt go 3D. I would rather play this.

Check COP The Recruit and you will know why.

The DS cannot support adequately a 3D sabdbox game. It will inevitably be a gimped version of what a true GTA would be. Rockstar knew this, so they opted to make a great top view GTA instead of a mediocre 3D GTA game.

@Waluigi2009 Rockstar would have to chop down too much content on a DS GTA game if they went with 3D. GTA is first and foremost about lot's of stuff to do and see, so, in my opinion, they did what was best given the system's capabilities.

There is a 3D GTAesque game on the DS - Cop: The Recruit. Play it, and you will understand why Rockstar avoided doing that.

It's better to have a rich, 2D world than an empty 3D world with nothing to do in it.

I agree with Silverthehedgehogxx.

I think more people would want to play a low quality 3D GTA game than a good quality 2D game. If R* just ported the physics engine to the DS, it would be a really good DS hit! Besides DS specs are more than twice GBA specs and the cartridges are bigger in capacity.
