I agree. Her two "sorry's" in the final scene - looking at Piero's Flagellation as the penny drops as to what she has done, and then to her youngest child "that was mine and you ate it" - is fantastically good. As are her reactions when she first stands in front of the painting.
You probably know she was the sister of Mick Fleetwood (of Fleetwood Mac fame) or should I say that he was her brother.
Is there ANY means of getting hold of a copy of the whole series on DVD? I love the book. John Mortimer was a total genius! John.

I always liked Susan Fleetwood ever since i first saw her in Thomas Hardy's Fellow Townsmen.

Susan Fleetwood is a sensitive actor, she was also terrific as Lady Russell in "Persuasian" , the 1995 version,
