Less than 2 months ago a 12 year old Christian girl (domestic servant) was sexually assaulted, abused and murdered by her employer - a Muslim lawyer and member of the Lahore bar. When Christians protested, the Muslims threatened to burn alive any lawyer that represented her family in the matter. What would you call it? Protecting rapists? Second class citizenship for non-Muslims? (Dhimmitude?) Predjudice? Ignorance?

I am not stereotyping 1.5 billion people. There are hippocrits in all religions who do not live up to its tenants. I am judging ISLAM. It teaches hatred for non-belivers, especially Jews & polytheists (Hindus & animists). Osama bin laden speaks perfect Arabic and quotes it often before attacking some innocent bystander (without a weapon) with his al-Qaeda thugs. ISLAM calls for violent jihad as a community & individual obligation for all Muslims.
He has a political agenda and uses quotes taken out of context to get people to follow them like sheep. Islam says to defend yourself, he manipulates the chapters for his benefit. Just like any book when you take a sentence without reading what's before and what's after will misguide you. Look at this example: If you come near my children, I will kill you..... "I will kill you" can easily be taken out of context. Same here, these verses were for specific people at specific times.
MrKrazyLyfe: Unfortunately, in ISLAM, it is Sharia, all or nothing. I quite framkly have no problem with the death penalty for murderers, but what about raped women who don't have 4 witnesses to prove they were raped as opposed to engaging in an act of infidelity? A women equals half a man in court? A women gets half the inheritence of a male? Once again, you sugar coat ISLAM and Sharia.
It's not sugar coating anything, in order to understand a law you have to understand the reasons behind it. For example, men who rape women get the death penalty, you want to send a man to death without enough proof? do you really want to have a woman come up and say i got raped then sentence a man to death with no proof?
@daliaaaa - in the modern (ie: non-Islamic) world, we have DNA testing. The whole 4 witnesses "law" is just a way to keep women subjugated under the rule of men. What about men who take advantage of the law? How do you "protect" your Muslim women then? Honor killing? A stay in the local Pakistani prison so that ticked off male relatives can't get to them?
I'm very thankful they do now. They didn't have DNA testing back then so the best way was that system. Now, they need to use that method to prosecute rapists. I'm just curious, do you think Pakistan is trying to protect rapists? They might not have the resources to use this technology. There is no reason for not using the technology and not using it.
and the half inheritance thing, men have to provide EVERYTHING for women, on the other hand every cent a woman earns is hers unless she wants to contribute. So who do you give the biggest share to?
If you want to examine something correctly, you have to examine all the sides. You can't state that explaining something is sugar coating it.

I call them non-Muslims. When Christian terrorists killed blacks in the name of Christianity, we didn't call them Christians. When angry stupid people do crap like that we don't call them Muslims either. You're right it's far more complicated because you can't stereotype or judge 1.5 billion people on the actions of a few people that have brain problems. Not mentioning that you can't judge a religion on the actions of a few that don't understand it.

DALIAAAA - I believe that it far more complicated than that. Less than 2 months ago a 12 year old Christian girl (domestic servant) was sexually assaulted, abused and murdered by her employer - a Muslim lawyer and member of the Lahore bar. When Christians protested, the Muslims threatened to burn alive any lawyer that represented her family in the matter. What would you call it? Protecting rapists? Second class citizenship for non-Muslims? (Dhimmitude?) Predjudice? Ignorance?

I am not stereotyping 1.5 billion people. There are hippocrits in all religions who do not live up to its tenants. I am judging ISLAM. It teaches hatred for non-belivers, especially Jews & polytheists (Hindus & animists). Osama bin laden speaks perfect Arabic and quotes it often before attacking some innocent bystander (without a weapon) with his al-Qaeda thugs. ISLAM calls for violent jihad as a community & individual obligation for all Muslims.

He has a political agenda and uses quotes taken out of context to get people to follow them like sheep. Islam says to defend yourself, he manipulates the chapters for his benefit. Just like any book when you take a sentence without reading what's before and what's after will misguide you. Look at this example: If you come near my children, I will kill you..... "I will kill you" can easily be taken out of context. Same here, these verses were for specific people at specific times.

MrKrazyLyfe: Unfortunately, in ISLAM, it is Sharia, all or nothing. I quite framkly have no problem with the death penalty for murderers, but what about raped women who don't have 4 witnesses to prove they were raped as opposed to engaging in an act of infidelity? A women equals half a man in court? A women gets half the inheritence of a male? Once again, you sugar coat ISLAM and Sharia.

It's not sugar coating anything, in order to understand a law you have to understand the reasons behind it. For example, men who rape women get the death penalty, you want to send a man to death without enough proof? do you really want to have a woman come up and say i got raped then sentence a man to death with no proof?

@daliaaaa - in the modern (ie: non-Islamic) world, we have DNA testing. The whole 4 witnesses "law" is just a way to keep women subjugated under the rule of men. What about men who take advantage of the law? How do you "protect" your Muslim women then? Honor killing? A stay in the local Pakistani prison so that ticked off male relatives can't get to them?

I'm very thankful they do now. They didn't have DNA testing back then so the best way was that system. Now, they need to use that method to prosecute rapists. I'm just curious, do you think Pakistan is trying to protect rapists? They might not have the resources to use this technology. There is no reason for not using the technology and not using it.

and the half inheritance thing, men have to provide EVERYTHING for women, on the other hand every cent a woman earns is hers unless she wants to contribute. So who do you give the biggest share to?
If you want to examine something correctly, you have to examine all the sides. You can't state that explaining something is sugar coating it.

@nohudna Listen buh ur the one who is blinded and is ignorant. If you study Islam properly you will see that the shariah law puts in a lot more of an impact on criminals than the states or the UK. Why do you think that the murder rate in the UK is so high?? But in the Shariah law abiding countries it is a lot less because the penalty for murder is execution.

What a clown. Putting "sugar coating" on the violence ISLAM teaches. Can you name one ISLAMIC democracy - nope, Sharia law. The same ISLAM that calls for Sharia law - death penalty for gay & those who convert to a religion other than ISLAM, 2nd class citizenship for all non-Muslims, 9 y.o. marriages in Iran & Saudi Arabia, etc. You aren't fooling anyone? Only ISLAM commits murder of children to "defend" its religion.

Seems to me that all Iranians were unfairly stereotyped to be gambling non practicing muslims and being a practicing muslim as well as an Iranian myself, I have to say that not all of them are. this is jus my opinion!
