Defenders of the homes act for minimizing the emotional and physical damage without expecting any material gain. The defender is a loser from the very second his home is invaded. Beginning from Roki tunnel in this war every strategic gain of Russia was the physical & emotional loss for Georgia.

Georgian defense was meant only against criminals, pirates, drag-traffickers. Georgia was not prepared for any invasion.
Only country that invaded Georgia since its independence was Russia.
No other country has broken international law.
Russian foreign affair protocol is the same as of a common thief.
