this kinda reminds me of synchro skating, which i love dearly, but honestly (and i'll say up front, i don't know much about gymnastics so don't jump down my throat!!!) i just don't see how this is any different from a normal dance team. please, this is an honest, straight-up request: can someone explain to me in small words how this is more of a sport than normal dance recital stuff?

you know i think aesthetic gymnastics isn't easy or if i put it this way i've been doing rhytmic g. for 10 years and going to aesthetic ... wow i mean it's harder like a lot though we all love it (: so aesthetic is hard just so you know :)

If anybody's gonna say that aesthetic gymnastics is pretty much no flexibility, yup with that vid especially, I agree. I'll say honest, this isn't the best group of all. And, you should see the latest Miss Valentine. The pre-junior group Roxett IS better than Roxanne in this vid and really this might be Roxanne's first (or second or sth like that) competition of the season, when they're obviously not as "in shape" as always.

@cheriobaby1113 because they aren't at flexible and can't do half of wich rhythmic gymnasts do, but still it is a hard sport

I kno, but there is still a junior and senior devision. I am in aesthetic gymnastics, and we are competing as juniors this year.

That's so not true. Aesthetic group gymnastics is not some after-my-rhytmic-gymnastics-ye­ars sports. Here where I live we start training it when we're about 6 years old. You shouldn't post comments like that if you know nothing about aesthetic group gymnastics.

Sorry thats what we thought. it is not like I insulted the sport so you didn't have to be rude. And yes some people actually do do it when the finnish competing RG, and yes i'm sure some people start it at a young age aswell- sorry for not making that distinction... regardless of when people do it- it is a cool sport :)
