  • thats an awesome knife set!

    BTW

im building that 40$ forge you showed. my wife is preparing to hear the countless hammer "tings" as i start my new hobby

  • This is pretty cool

  • It's funny you should post this Kershaw stuff this time of year. When I was maybe 6 or 7 years old our mother took me and my brother to look for a christmas gift for dad. We spotted that kershaw set and she made a fuss that it was "a cheap knife set" that dad wouldn't use. Well, lo' and behold dad still uses this knife set to this very day some 25 or so years later. And you're right Dan, that butcher and fillet knife will take one hell of a lethally sharp edge to them!

  • yeah just went to the kershaw website they still sell the set msrp is $74.95 usd

  • Thanks for doing your videos. Kershaw is local here. They make better than average knives. I like them more than Gerber and Leatherman (also local)

  • I had one of those sets a couple years ago. They are hard too find in the states (Where I live) now. Good products though!

  • Man thats nice, the camp spatulas and flippers are the junk. Merry Christmas Dan!

  • Merry Christmas to you too Dan thanks for the entertainment and info during 2011

  • that's the one I have they have a web site I think

  • ahh you did My brother got me the camping set knife fork spoon and fliper he bought it off the snapon man

  • did you get the other blades

  • Merry Christmas !!

  • Some day you should show us a video on your hunting/butchering techniques, tools, etc. I think it would be pretty interesting, as I may get into hunting myself. I believe everyone else may enjoy it too. It kind of goes along with the blacksmith/hardworking feel I guess.

  • I have a friend who has the same set except his only came with 3 blades. Fillet, hunter, and saw. I think he did buy it in the late 80s. Cool set. I own several kershaw knives and they are good quality.

  • kershaw stll makes knives. they are one of the top knife producers

  • Hi dan, i had a quick look and it says that kershaw set uses 420 J2 for the knives with a 57-59hrc and a high carbon steel for the saw blade can't find what code though, and those spatulas are 420 J2 also, as usual mate a fun vid to watch. Merry christmas happy new year, simon.

  • Awesome

  • kershaw is alive and very well.. also i think they still make this too

  • Thanks. Merry Christmas brother. Thanks for all the videos!
