Warren is the man. Him and Derek compliment each other really well in the Brothers. Also look at how he switches his pick up's so many times through the solo. It's like he has certain tones for each part of his solos while most people stick to one during solos. I'm a tone freak myself..

Warren has so many other qualities - he is versatile, his phrasing is beautiful and thoroughly emotional, and he has written countless songs that are so complex and beautifully composed that you can listen to them over and over, and they never get old.

i can see 30 years from now someone watching this footage like we watch old hendrix footage today and still being amazed. the rainy streets of what looks like NYC with all the taxi cabs goin by, woulda been a cool atmostphere to hear this in.
My respect and admiration for Warren Haynes only grows every time I see one of his performances. He expresses his emotion through the notes he plays, not stage antics. His dedication to the blues is astounding.

Cool seeing Warren play but he can get pretty sloppy sounding at times. I've seen better performances from him. This was like just a droning blues solo.

Who's next on your list, maestro? Jimi Hendrix? Jimi was VERY sloppy. You should let him have it, too! Out of curiosity, do you play guitar? If so, I'd love to hear you solo. Maybe you can illustrate for us all how Warren should have played this solo. You know, with more BRILLIANCE.

Good reason why YOU will never become a great musician - because you can't take criticism. What makes you sound ridiculous is that you take such offense when the criticism isn't directed at you.
Everyone can stand some improvement. No, I'm not typical enough to think that much of Hendrix. He was overrated in my opinion, but I guess you're going to take issue with that too.

As far as you not saying anything bad, well I suppose that is fairly subjective. It's not so much that you said something bad, just something stupid. You are of the opinion that talent,alone, is what a musician should be measured by. If that were the case then the world would have never known Hendrix, The Beatles etc. as they weren't world-class musicians. Music is an extension of your soul & everybody's different. Haynes never claimed to be the greatest compositional guitarist ever to have lived. He simply plays with soul. Your "ensemble" might not even be able to convey that feeling with 30 instruments.

I have no doubt that clapton would love to play with warren haynes. To say he is intimidated is ignorant, well rather to say thats the reason they havent played together. I would highly doubt that is the reason after looking at a list of the other godlike figures clapton has jammed with. I'm sure eventually something will come from both of them.

ih8, I wonder this too. I don't believe it has anything to do with scheduling BS, because Warren will play anytime with anyone. My opinion, and that's all it is, is that Warren is one artist that may intimidate Eric. Warren is our modern day "guitar god". Just watch the faces of anyone who sits in with Mule, and you'll see what I mean. They revel in this guy's presence. Feb. 13 will be my 20th. Mule show, and I am always in awe of Warren's gift.
