Two questions mate, when you do the torizo room cheat does it only work the first time you enter? If so does it not work on the PAL version of the game?

...HOOOOOLYYYYYY *censored for sensitive people*. WHAAAAAT. I'm like, going into shock or something, here. THAT IS SIMPLY INCREDIBLE. I would love to know the genius who thought of this idea, and managed to keep it hidden for, what, a decade and a half? More? INSANITY. That is pure intelligence. How did this get missed for so long. Wow. I'm..stunned.
Can the GT Code be used easily on a standard SNES console? I mean, is it easy to do by humans, or does it take super-precise timing requiring a tool assist?
Recently, a year or so, the item (includes every item, weapon, accessory etc.) duplication glitch for FFVII has been discovered. More than ten years upon its release. Thats what I love about games. The community always finds some new interesting things, even after a decade has past. Fuck yeah!
Also, every time I do this the game just freezes when I enter the room. IfIi jump into the room it either freezes when I land on the ground, get hit by the statue as it's falling, or if I fire my gun. I started shooting him with missiles but when I ran out I accidentally fire my beam and it was lights out.
@tylerdurden3891 I haven't tried this yet, but looking at the video it seemed that it activated all the beams. Make sure to turn off either the spazer or the plasma beam before shooting!
Aww for a second there I thought you was going to save the baby metroid. That would have been my equivalent of bringing Aeris back to life. Poor little gigantic monstrocity :(
As a kid I always wondered if there was a way to just automatically get all the items without collecting them. Who'd have thought it was actually possible? Nice find!!
How the FUCK do things get found 17 goddamn years after the game's release? This is the weirdest thing. There are map editors for this game, it's been decompiled, but it hasn't been torn to shreds trying to find interesting shit or impossible easter eggs?
@SaturnTAS So potentially there could be a 'max percentage' run? Get to Gold Torizo with minimum pickups to maximize the over-percentage of re-collecting items?
What you are saying is that it is an unintended consequence based off of programing, which is exactly what a bug is: any unintended consequence of coding.
@insidetrip101 By its nature, it was obviously intended to work in this way. What's not known, at least to me, is if it was intended to be left into the final product or not.
But for Samus, this was just Tuesday.

How many times did you rehearse this run to get it so finetuned? Jesus...

@MarcBrightside
it's tool-assisted. He used savestates to perfect the run.
EclipseMoonXIV 6 months ago
@EclipseMoonXIV Yeah, at the time I didn't know what a TAS run was. Not much of a speedrunner myself, I prefer to get 100% in any game I play.

Has any one tried GT Code with NBMB run? Get yourself stuck at the metal door and X Ray jump up.

I don't understand how the boss at maridia at 21:38 is beaten so fast. with one shot? :)
Fiely0 11 months ago
@Fiely0 By switching Xray on and off quickly the boss gets hit multiple times by a single shot.

Is there a particular reason for opening doors with the grapple beam? Faster traveling than a normal shot if the door is in reach?

Why does this trick work? Press 4 buttons during a certain door transition and suddenly you get all the items, why is that?

@RealXXXTurkey It was put in there by the programmers, whether its on accident or purpose we will probably never know.

so if you use this code what's inside the torzo balls where the items are supposed to be? is it possible to get over 100% items?

@sectb42: Yes, the items are still there and you can get well over 130% that way.

Note that there is a much easier way to get over 100% with the reset (var beam) glitch.
