The US Auto industry killed itself long before the UAW (unions) did. They underpaid and overworked their employees that allowed the unions to grab hold. Then the US public in the 1940s allowed the big three to crush Tucker Automobile company because they were threatened by his superior and innovative ideas and designs. If Tucker had been allowed to grow he would have crushe the Japanese and German automobile industries directly and by forcing the big 3 to innovate and focus on quality.
I'll have to remember to not slam on the brakes... wait, I would not buy a car from Detroit in the first place! F*** union labor! I will keep driving my Toyota like a bat out of hell. No matter how rough I drive it, it does not ever, ever, NEVER, ever break down. Call me un-American if you want but my first car was an American piece of s###.
@jnmshmacm And to think Toyota has had 28 recalls in 2 years, hidden safety defects (and been fined $64 million).......ahhh, Toyota......death on wheels......driveshafts falling out, spares flying off Siennas, Tacomas, Tundra frames rusting in two, Corollas, Matrix and Pontiac Vibes stalling in traffic (Toyota calls this design flaw an "inconvenience"!), engine sludge buildup due to poor engineering. Their own exec said they needed to come clean! What they did was illegal. Screw Toyota.
Thats because they are built buy liberal and corrupt union emplyees who use the mob and Jewish lawyers to straggle the US auto industry as a tool to usher in socialism and a one world government run by liberal communist Jews.
Meh. I prefer the Pelosimobile. Or rocking mass transit with all my fellow Comrades on the way to our government-guaranteed jobs. I love our new Worker's Paradise!!!
Not quite as good as a Trabant or a Skoda but with the government involved in automobile production there's no telling what we can achieve together as a people.

So you're saying they are going to build them just like GM has been for the last 30 years?

It seems like the car is going fast because we know it's made by Detroit. It was barely at the walking speed.
