I use Flash every day, our database at my work is programmed in Flash, and it has NEVER crashed within the 4 years we've been using it. That's why you get Windows, we're running Windows 7, no crashes, ever. Apple can't do software then if they can't even handle something as simple as Flash.

With the technology they have and price you pay should they not have come up with something that would make the internet scream. If they have something better coming out Don't the owners of Apple computers at least have something better than the IPOD..Iphones..ETC.. Also, Apps on my iPhone and iPod touch crash more often than they work. Ill be using it, suddenly a pause, suddenly back at my main screen with everything in the app lost. Adobe has stopped a couple times on my laptop, but it takes 2 seconds and I'm back. No loss, not the end of the world. If you don't support flash, then uninstall it off all your computers and enjoy your heavily limited Internet.

1 version (and not 6+) and you can customize it to how you like it
(i do still have bootcamp on it for windows xp but only to play a game now and then)

The reason flash doesn't work well with macs, is for the simple reason that PC'S ARE MORE POPULAR, and plain more useful for pretty much anything, I'll give macs the point that they can handle video and graphic design better because of the way the system works, but other than that, macs are pretty much useless pieces of glossed paper compared to Windows.
It's just how it works, the code wasn't made for macs, I'm surprised macs can handle it even on a basic level.

It can't, however, play non-youtube videos (viddler for example) natively on a web page. So embedded videos like those on sites like engadget arent supported.

Now I see Android based cell phones and tablets advertising flash content is on them, so now we have a tablet that does everything found on the internet.
Now you can go to Youtube and see your video without a special add on to Safari web browser! Just go and surf and watch like you would on any other browser!

There is a problem with the CPU used in macs otherwise they should be able to run any code, because in the end (if you know anything about computers) it is all machine language!
Macs cant interpret it as well as Pc's PC's are not meant for Windows alone they are meant to read machine language!

Flash works VERY well on Linux and Windows. Just because OS X sucks with Flash does not mean Flash sucks. If you want to watch Flash videos, use Windows or Linux.

And yeah, Apple is the leader of modern technology, just look at the PC manufactures they keep taking Apple's ideas or try to compete with failure products (when Apple released the iPad, PC manufacturers struggled to release tablets just to compete with the iPad).

I semi agree its not totally apples problem, but just turning there back on all of there customers and saying, "Not our problem" Is just childish.
It is there problem ALONG with adobes.
Apples objective is to create a stable desktop environment, and if there's a big piece of software that isn't stable, find out why. WORK WITH adobe, not just blame them because your os can't run it efficiently.

The real problem is that users want the whole internet and not allowing flash on the iPhone is cutting off access to a huge part of the internet. I want to decide what content I can access; I don't want my hardware manufacturer to decide for me.
If Apple were to allow flash on the iPhone there may be times when it wouldn't work properly, but there would also be times when it did. As things are now, a great amount of content NEVER works properly.

1) Comparing a PS3 to a mobile phone is like comparing a Blu-ray player to a television... they have completely different purposes and it is extremely juvenile to compare the two.
2) Steve Jobs is only in protecting the standards of his seamless software. Since Steve Jobs refuses to implement flash on their mobile devices, why the hell would Adobe invest the money into development on Apples products?

Apple's problem with adobe flash is that they are trying to promote their Quicktime video format, there is no problem with flash's stability, and if i am wrong then it is still Apple's problem that they fail to create a device that satisfies the majority of consumers and runs on a format that does not work with the majority of websites videos and online games.

uhhhh, not. i'm typing on my macbook pro right now. all of their computers have flash and it never crashes for me. in fact, flash has never crashed on ANY operating system i've ever used (i used to have both linux and windows). broski, you're clearly mistaken. apple just hates on all 3rd-party software; that's why they didn't put flash on the iPad.

lol i dont know what you done with you mac but i now use a macbook for more then 4 years with flash and i only manage te let it crash one time (and never had "the bue lego thing")
the main reason why i use mac is simple:
1 version (and not 6+) and you can customize it to how you like it
(i do still have bootcamp on it for windows xp but only to play a game now and then)
i dont say mac is better or worse (same for windows)
but current flash version is not unstable on the computers i have seen

The reason flash doesn't work well with macs, is for the simple reason that PC'S ARE MORE POPULAR, and plain more useful for pretty much anything, I'll give macs the point that they can handle video and graphic design better because of the way the system works, but other than that, macs are pretty much useless pieces of glossed paper compared to Windows.
It's just how it works, the code wasn't made for macs, I'm surprised macs can handle it even on a basic level.

I wouldn't accept it when that burner manufacturer sells dvd+rw media and believe an excuse about performance or their being mysterious issues with burn failures.
There is a large portion of the web that is in flash. I wish it were an open standard. It's not. That's just the way it is.

Flash sucks on OSX, for that reason OSX sucks, because it work on either windows and linux PERFECTLY. It's Apples responsibility to implement flash without trouble. I am a web designer and i experience this allot. But you dont see me blaming FireFox for not handling my HMTL files exactly like for instance IE.
