  • If we are discriminating on "fat people" we should also tax people who are too skinny, too muscular, too stupid, too smart, too white, too black, to liberal, and have too many idiotic videos like this one. 18% BMI? really? over 80% of americans dont even have that... im not even obese...its all about money. they only want more money. they should tax the hell out of gym apes like yourself.

  • Hey, one area of Africa, I won't mention where it is, but everybody is healthy-know what I mean? Get it? Didn't somebody we all know just visit that country? HUM...

So, I did not vote for someone dumb, and believe me, things are going to get a lot dumber.....we are going to lived in such a controlled socialized world like never before. Besides all the fat people that live around me are MOSTLY African American. I think that some people in DC look like they have face deformities...

  • people who think that the government is taxing soda becuase they want to fight obesity are nieve. The money is needed for government spending, they looked at how many people are drinking soda and said "man... I wish we could tax soda" and then they found a way to try.

  • Not all fat people over eat. There are many conditions and medications that cause a person to become overweight. There are those people who simply can't stop shoving food in their pie holes. How much money will it cost to sort out those who are shovelers and who isn't?

  • I dont drink soda or any sickly sugary sweets! I eat vegetables, drink water and live a healthy life. Soda SHOULD be TAXED high enough to stop these slobs that cant control themselves! Tax it $30 a can. I dont care cause I dont drink soda.

  • Health care reform is all about money. Just as it is simple to inform an obese patient that eating

    . The

taxes from tobacco, alcohol along with new federal taxes on unhealthy

fats, sugars and fructose in foods and beverages should pay for health care

    exclusively.

This will not only pay for the health care of every American but assist in

motivating some to eat healthier at a lower cost.

  • overweightness kills more than

smoking, drinking, weed (LOL) so why not tax overweight people if the issue is heath

  • although your statement sounds discriminate as you said i could imagine this happening because the government taxes you on almost everything! if they put a tax on energy drinks the money would flow in like a tsunami because almost all my peers drink energy drinks on a daily bases! is it good for them? i think now! should we tax it? if we do we might as well tax alcohol, sugary beverages, junk food ect the list goes on! bottom line i think taxes only solve money problems and thats it!

  • It's unconstitutional and illegal to "tax" someone to regulate law-abiding behavior. This is pure fascism.

It started with smoking and now it's never going to end. If you eat anything more than bread and water you are going to be taxed. VOTE ALL OF YOUR GOVERNORS, REPRESENTATIVES, SENATORS OUT!!!!

  • state by state... there would be fat people zones.

  • U people who take such extreme views on either side of the obesity issue (or on any other life threatening issue for that matter) are a huge part of the health & addiction problems in our world; too uneducated regarding the issues 2 b any part of an intelligent solution. A bunch of hasty remarks without genuine, solid, broad, in depth research. Lack of respect IS the main disease. We catch it when we are little from those who disrespect us and all beings whose sins we think are worse than ours.

  • If you tax them enough, they wont be able to afford food. Problem solved. :-P But seriously, I am tired of hearing how they CAN'T lose weight. That said, I know that there is a VERY small percentage of people who actually do have a genetic problem that actually prevents them from losing weight. But most fat people CAN lose weight but lack motivation and like to place the blame for their situation on someone other than themselves. The tax might be extreme, but it would definitely be a motivator!

  • Also the tax could go towards healthcare

  • if they tax fat people for every pound they are over weight then there will be alot of poor fat people.....

most fat people have dissorders, disease, or something that makes it hard to lose weight so they gain instead of lose... then all these "get skinny quick" surgeries cost thousands of dollars which alot of us "fat" people cant afford.... then there are the lazy ones! like me...

if you want to tax fat people. then dont tax the ones with certain dissorders. tax those who are just lazy.

  • because your just making the ones that cant lose weight poorer.. and most the fat lazy people have money.. and if not then it gives them a reason to lose weight so i aggree but only in the modivation portion...

if you want people to lose weight... pay for the'r gasteric bypass, stomache stapleing, lypo suction.....

  • why should we pay for their laziness

  • Uh, if you look at your check stub, you pay taxes, which mostly goes to pay for food stamps and welfare. Most of those people that receive that are lazy and you continue to py for that.

  • they should have the twinkie tax. no taxing fat people and not taxing the producers but charging tax when its bought. the reason evryone is fat is because they have easy acces to the dollar mennu. Take the dollar menu away and add 2 dollars more to the whole menu and ppl are going to think twice about buying a fatty hamburger. with those taxes something else can be done. 3.1 million dollars or more is estimated

  • Lol, if they keep taxing fatfucks in about 5 years they are going to have to pass another law about supporting homeless fatfucks.

  • the fatties need to pay higher taxes; they're a serious burden on the economy.

  • @Chapas45

Yes, and so are the skinny ones that have Bulimia, and you and I are paying for their dental care..HUM?????

  • Just like the Lottery money is being used for funding education. Why do we need to tax a corporation or someone just to raise money to treat something that can be easily treated by by community support, exercise and education.

This tax will never find it's way to where it would need to go.

  • Taxing tobacco has not eliminated lung disease, and you are right... taxing sugary drinks will not eliminate obesity. However, income from such a tax could be used to treat obesity, so it should be done.

  • Another crazy person. Why not just tax everyone who gets sick or who looks sick, after all most sicknesses R lifestyle related (diet, exercise & not enough sleep) We could tax people who R loud mouth 2 because they R air-wave polluters & they make many people sick. Tax bullies & people who do not understand that obesity is a complex social, psychological as well as physical problem & not a matter of poor character nor is is always about poor discipline.

I think you should apologize big time!!

  • When you stop feeling sorry for yourself and stop making excuses. Then and only then will I apologize. Everyone wants to say that it is such a "complex" problem. The only problem is that "Fat" people are becoming the majority and have a louder voice now. No one has self control anymore and most think that they should be entitled to stay fat and be a burden. what needs to change is your attitude and the attitude that allows "fat" to have a voice. "Poor Discipline" is part of the problem.

  • excuse yourself again askrocco. I am a very vibrant light weight woman in her 60's; nothing about me 2 feel sorry for, I look good, feel good & do good. But your anger & callous judgment about the obesity situation is not grounded in education or research. I am sorry U push your unfounded opinions on the public, it is a sad measure of how you judge & nag & push yourself. I'll bet a pack of Twinkies your dad abused U pretty bad as a tender child. Chillax & show some respect for yourself & others.

  • Look, I don't know you, but I think there is something off with your responses. I don't know if you're overweight or not, but there is one thing that I am finding really hard to believe - your stated age. No woman in her 60's I've ever met abbreviates 'to' with '2' or 'you' with 'u'. And there's no way in HELL a 60+ woman would say 'chillax'. So that makes it hard for me to trust pretty much anything you say. As for the content of the video, it's a little extreme, but he has a point.

  • Why should he show respect for fat people if they don't have respect for their own bodies.

  • great rant!

I was so pissed when I heard about this.
