You probably aren't putting the words in the right order. The sentence structure for 日本語 is SOV (Subject Object Verb). The sentence structure for English is SVO (Subject Verb Object). For example in English you would say "I am going to the store." In 日本語 you would say "I store am going."

Hopefully this cleared somethings up :p

my sister has a two room apartment, but even so it is very cozy! an apartment is something to be proud of...then again, this is coming from a teenager. I think this video wasn't made purely to show-off Koichiben's apartment, but rather to also help people who are learning Japanese. I find it odd he verbalizes everything he sees, including the door, soap, cat... a lot of basic things to help those studying the language. Of course maybe I'm wrong, but regardless, I understood and learned a lot listening to it.

It's nice to know I'm making a lot of progress in my studies.... most Japanese videos I'm lucky to understand 1/5th of it.

I don't think he made it for that purpose. Although he speaks Japanese very well he still made mistakes. For example he miss pronounced words like robot as ロバト instead of ロボット and says words like ウォシャー ドライヤー instead of 洗濯機 and 乾燥機. He still got his point across but he still has a slight accent which is typical of all language learners. He gets pretty damn close to fluent sounding Japanese. Obviously this video is not made for Americans.
